Like I Never Left

Eva's POV

Anna rolled off of me and stretched. I watched as she grimaced in pain when her nose and mouth touched the bed.

"Good Morning Rocky." I said and held back my laugh.

"Morning beautiful. Nothing is that good about this morning." she said and let out a painful groan. She looked attered, her lip and nose bruised and swollen. I remembered she had pain killers in her bathroom and there was bottled water in the mini fridge.

"Sit up and take these." I ordered and she complied.

"You're so bossy, sheesh." she said then she took the painkillers and drank the water. We showered, dressed and had breakfast with Anna's mom who had so many questions about her bruises. She held my hand and led us upstairs back to her bedroom.

"Okay, let's talk." she said as she sat in her gaming chair and faced me, I was already sitting on the bed.

"What caused the altercation last night?" I asked getting straight to the point.

"Sab called me crying hysterically Thursday night so I sped over to Cooper's to her aid. I got there and Cooper was outside pacing back and forth and Sab was on the staircase crying. Someone called and threatened Cooper and just like a true maniac he stood outside waiting for them to arrive, as he should." she explained.

"As he should Boon?" I asked.

"Well I would've done the same so yeah." she said. Really Boon? She looked at me and continued on.

"A guy jumped out of a car and smashed the back glass of my jeep." she said and my eyes widened with shock.

"What the actual fuck? But why? And what does that have to do with Brad?" I asked.

"I saw him driving the car the guy came out of but I wanted to be sure." she recounted.

"How?" I inquired. There was an obvious hesitation before she answered.

"Taylor, uhh. Taylor helped me....I mean us. She helped us." she emphasized on the 'us'.

"How the hell was she any help?" I asked.

"She lives in the same area as him and she knows his friend group. She gave us all their names and what car they drive. Low and behold one of them was driving the same car that Brad drove that night." she related.

"That still doesn't say it was Brad." I said.

"Oh my God Eva." she bellowed. She pulled out her phone, scrolled a bit then gave it to me.

"Play the video!" she demanded. The video was from a security camera and there I saw Anna and Cooper talking. A car sped into the frame and there Brad was just as Anna said.

"Oh fuck! But why would he do that?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders and looked down at her fingers taking her ring on and off her index finger. I gave her back her phone and she took it but also held on to my hand.

"I don't care why he did it but they will all come to regret their actions." she cautioned and her tone of voice got sinister.

Anna's POV

"But let's not focus on that for now." I brushed that off. I got up from the chair, went to the bed and rested my head on her thighs. She held my chin and kissed me gently because my lip was still tender.

"I won't manipulate you or try even try to." I reassured her.

"Okay. Where is this coming from?" she asked confused.

"You didn't believe me when I told you it was Brad until I showed proof. Just like the last time." I mumbled. She stroked my hair and caressed my face.

"I'm sorry baby. My last relationship I was emotionally and mentally manipulated so I guess that's why I need evidence before I believe things." she lamented. I knew her ex was a shitty person but she never elaborated much.

"I understand that and I'm sorry you had to experience that. Listen to this, I Anna Shumate, will never manipulate you. I want you to love and trust me on your own free will." I said. Now I knew what I needed to do to gain her trust moving forward. Her eyes were filled with water maybe as she reminisced on her last relationship. I held the nape of her neck and pulled her to me for a kiss, it was a bit painful but fuck it.

"I love you Boon." she said and smiled while her lips were against mine then I let go of her neck.

"You do huh? Do you love me enough to be with me again?" I asked. She put her hand over her mouth and giggled.

"Yes more than enough." she said finally. I threw my hands in the air and wiggled my body which caused Eva the laugh non stop. I pulled out my phone did something I never did before. I tweeted a picture of Eva and I from the first time I took her to our secret spot and captioned it 'Back like I never left! 😜❤️'.

"I wanna take you out to dinner." I exclaimed.

"You're so cute. Okay but I have to get clothes and stuff." she said.

"Okay but you drive. I don't have my jeep back yet. They guy said I should have it back by Tuesday or whatever." I informed her.

"I'll be your chauffeur then." she said.

"Ooooo fancy, let's go then!" I exclaimed. Before I got up she held my face and kissed me and although it hurt I wasn't mad about it. She released me from her lust filled grip and smiled.

"How are you so irresistible even with a bruised nose and semi swollen lip? Fucking surreal!" she gushed as she admired me.

"It's not me it's the sex that's irresistible." I teased. Her face got red and she covered her face with both her hands.

I sat up and removed her hands from her face. "Let's go Eva before we fuck around and end up fucking the afternoon away." I said, kissed her and got off the bed.

As I walked towards the door I heard Eva say "I won't mind that". I pretended I didn't hear her and we left the room. We got to the car and right before she got in I held her by her waist and spun her around. She wrapped her arms around my neck, "Hi Boon." she said.

"I'll fuck you after dinner, not before." I whispered in her ear and kissed it. She inhaled sharply and nodded her head up and down quickly. I slid my hand under her sweater, touching her bare skin and leaned in for a kiss. She pulled back teasingly and I smirked.

"Who said I wanted to fuck?" she asked.

"Oh you don't? We'll see about that beautiful." I said and let her go.
