Who She Is Pt. 1

Anna's POV only

"Boon!" I heard and I slowly turned to over to see Eva with a big smile plastered across her face. I yawned, stretched my arms and legs as wide as possible on either side of my body.

"That was a good ass stretch." I said and remained in a starfish position. Eva came over me and sat on my legs.

"Why do you still look tired?" she asked.

"Because I am, duhh. What time is it?" I asked.

"Seven. Time for us to go to school." she said. I was happy to hear her say that because I knew how she was earlier in the week. She got up and went to the bathroom to shower and I stayed in bed until she was finished. She got out, I showered, got ready and met her downstairs headed to her car. 

"You could at least say goodbye. I feel so used like a sneaky link, ugh!" I said and dramatically clutched my chest. She walked up to me, kissed me on my cheek and slid a dollar in my bra strap.

"For your troubles!" she said and ran to her car and drove off.

"Little bitch." I muttered and went back inside for my bookbag and keys.

I got to school and the girls were by Eva's car so I assumed Katie and Jean Victor were still not on speaking terms. I got out, walked over and greeted them all.

"Idiot, we were just talking about the party tomorrow. Everyone's going except your ex-girlfriend and Lauren, cause they're both lame as fuck." Katie said. I knew Eva wasn't up to it but I wondered why Lauren wasn't going.

"Why aren't you going LOren?" I said to Lauren teasingly. She giggled and blushed a little which cause Sab to raise her eyebrow at me.

"Well technically you didn't invite me." she answered.

"Shit! My bad girl. Well the invitation is also opened to you. I just assumed you would've been Devyn's plus one." I said and Katie and I laughed. Dev rolled her eyes, flipped me off and I blew a kiss at her. We continued to chit chat and joke around until school began. Brad approached me twice during the day but I honestly didn't have an answer for him because I hadn't talked to Cooper and the the boys yet. School was finally over and I went straight home after dropping the girls off and to my surprise Eva wasn't there. I wanted to call her but I knew she'd come by later plus I was extremely tired so I just went to my room and took a nap.

I got up and it was still bright out. My eyes readjusted to the light in the room and I picked up my phone and it was 7:45am Saturday morning which meant I slept the whole night. I flopped back on my bed and remembered Eva wasn't here, she didn't come home. I messaged her.

M: Good Morning, y am waking up and ur not by my side :(

E: Morning, I wanted to be alone for a bit.

M: Ok no problem. Any idea how much alone time u need?

E: I'll let u know

M: Ok. I love you

E: Love you too.

I tried my best to remain positive and take Eva's word as is. She said she just needed to be alone and I understood that. I got up and showered, brushed my teeth and went downstairs to get breakfast. During breakfast I scrolled through social media and saw an edit of Eva on I on a fan page and commented, 'loml'. Just then a message from the group chat came in.

Hoes

S: I'm bored, who wants to hang out?

K: I though it was j me, I'm bored as fuck.

M: Come over, I'm bored too.

D: Bet

S: Sayless

K: I'm for sure down

E: I'll pass

D: Hey Anna, can Lauren come?

M: Of course she can. 

After I ate I went to my room, changed into a yellow bath suit, a grey champion cotton shorts and put my hair in a bun. I took out a whole bunch of snacks, drinks and a bottle of Jack Daniels Honey for them to choose from. When they got hungry I'd order food or something. I sat on one of the lounge chairs and tanned until the girls came over. I wanted so badly to text Eva but she said she wanted to be alone and I had to respect that. 

"Wazzzuuuuppp!!" Katie shouted from behind me.

"Wazzzuuuppp!!" I responded. I sat up and saw all the girls including Lauren who looked exceptional in her bath suit. I hugged them all and they got settled. 

"Hey Anna can I talk to you for a minute?" Lauren asked and called me away from the girls so I got up quickly and met her.

"Wassup?" I asked. 

"I don't want to do anything to offend you or your home so I'm asking for permission. Can I smoke this?" she asked. She opened her palm and showed me two blunts. I wasn't a smoker and none of my friends smoked but I wanted to make sure she was comfortable.

"Yeah sure. Just don't do it in the house. Out here is fine." I answered.

"Okay great, thank you." she said and we went back to the girls. We drank, talked crap about each other and Katie and Sab shared relationship woes.

"Anna, we were all friends first before anyone got romantic, right?" Katie asked.

"Yea, why?" I responded.

"What's happening to Eva? And I'm only asking this out if concern." she asked. I lowered my head before I answered.

"I don't even fucking know. She keeps giving me bits and pieces of the problem so I'm always playing catch up." I said.

"Damn, that sounds exhausting as fuck." Lauren said and took a pull of her joint. 

"Why would you say that?" Sab said in an annoyed tone. 

"Well it's like being in a constant state of confusion. You don't ever know if what you're doing is right or wrong and that is exhausting." she answered. I looked up at her and wondered how the fuck did she figure that out after a week.

"That was so spot on bruh." I admitted. She just tilted  her cup to me and smiled. "She has healed me in so many ways. She bathed me when I couldn't walk, she pushed me to open up emotionally, she helped me work on my relationship with my mother, she was there for me each time I called upon her so selflessly and I feel like I can never repay her, you know? I can't leave her side, not now not ever." I continued.

No one said anything after and I eventually changed the subject. We continued to talk as a group until the sun went down.

"I hope you fucks brought clothes for the party cause I leave in about and hour cause it takes an hour to get there." I said. 

"I got all my stuff, I don't know about those bitches." Katie said. 

"I got my stuff." Dev said.

"Me too." said Sab.

"I'm all good." Lauren said.

"Alright I'm heading to my room and we can meet in the foyer in an hour and a half." I said to them. I got up and went to my room to get ready.
