Anna's POV

Life after heartbreak wasn't as bad as those cheesy romantic comedies Adam Sandler wrote, produced and acted in, portrayed it to be. I survived two weeks thus far and I was functioning pretty well. Eva seemed to be doing well also, I hadn't spoken to her since that dreadful morning she uttered those words and left me stranded on the Pier and I made absolutely no attempt to speak to her.

Although that morning looped in my head day and night, echoing from ear to ear, pinballing inside my head but never escaping. I never meant for Eva to break up with me, I just wanted to pressure her into confirming our relationship but it didn't work in my favour. I was wrong to force a decision out of her in the first place because I promised her I'd stick with her through and through but I was frustrated.

I rolled off my bed and headed to the closet to pick out an outfit for tonight's bon fire that is usually held every year before we go on break. I picked out an all black outfit cause why not, not like I was mourning or anything. Nike sweatpants with cargo pockets, shirt with the infamous picture of Tony Montana in the bathtub printed on it, back and white Nike Dunk low and a fitted hat. 

I grabbed my keys and left to pick up Katie and Dev. Pulled up outside Katie's home and didn't have to wait at all because she was already outside. 

"Waazzzuuuppp!" she shouted and I returned the greeting.

"Why the fuck are you in all black?" she asked.

"Why the fuck not? I look good." I said.

"Unfortunately, you do. I wanna get so fucked up so I can have drunk sex." she said.

"Must be nice." I mumbled. She burst out laughing.

"It's fine, laugh at my pain. At least it amuses you." I fake sighed. In reality I was doing pretty well without Eva's touch, smell, hugs, head scratches, soft delectable succulent lips.....woah maybe not so well but I'm fine.

We picked up Dev and were on our way to the beach.

"Anna don't plan on drinking cause I'm getting fucked up!" Dev announced.

"I told that idiot the same thing! I wanna have a little sex." Katie added.

"Purrrrr." Dev agreed.

"Yes you dirty sinners, having sexual intercourse before marriage. I'm honestly ashamed." I said. 

"Oh please, you and Eva were using whipped cream and ice." Katie said. I looked across to her in disbelief. 

"Why the fuck would Eva tell you that?" I questioned her.

"She didn't but you just did. Nasty bitch." Katie said and shrieked with laughter. We got to the beach and there were already so many people. 

"I see Sab with the rest of them." Dev said and we walked over to them.

As we neared the group I saw Eva amongst the others. That girl was always capable of capturing all of my attention. She stood there in a white tube and sweatpants combo and Jordan 1 'University Blue', her hair seemed air dried and she wore jewelry that gave her cute outfit it's finishing touch. 

Eva's POV

"There's Anna's jeep, finally!" Sab said. Tonight I promised myself to sum up the courage to talk to Anna. It was two weeks ago when I made that drastic decision and even though it was probably harsh, I thought it was necessary. I couldn't keep stringing her along because I was indecisive, I saw how it hurt her. She never went into detail but that added to her pain, I saw it.

She walked closer and I felt my face curve into a smile when I saw how good she looked. 

"Hey! Do you want anything to drink?" Lauren asked and distracted me from my lust filled gaze.

"Oh uhmm yeah, White Claw." I said. Lauren and I hung out more since I broke up with Anna and we related to each other through our anxiety which has been at bay so far.

"What's up bitches?" Katie shouted over the music. She and Dev greeted us all but Anna hugged Sab, dapped up the boys and nodded slightly in my direction, just enough to acknowledge my presence.

Everyone separated into groups of two, leaving Anna by herself, but she seemed unfazed. She walked away from us and sat on a cooler nearby.

"I should probably go talk to her." I said to Lauren.

"And say what?" she asked.

"I don't know, ask her how she's been." I said.

"You see how good she looks, she's been good. At some point you have to come to terms with your decision Eva. She's not the only person capable of treating you right." she said.

"I know, I know but we were friends before anything. I guess I just miss our friendship." I admitted.

"Give it time, maybe after you both move on you'll be able to be friends again." she said. I turned my attention away from her like Lauren advised and began to enjoy myself.

In the midst of all the fun my outfit reminded me how exposed my upper half was and I began to feel cold. I asked all my friends for a jacket or hoodie and no one had. The only person I was sure would have is Anna. I didn't want to go over to her in the event she ignored me so I messaged her in hope that she hadn't blocked me.

Me: Hey, this is random but you got a hoodie or something in ur jeep?

Read: 11:47pm

Typing....

B: Yes.

She got up, walked to her jeep and I followed her. She was already in the trunk when I met up with her.

"Hey." I said and she didn't respond she just kept digging in her bag. She finally pulled out a hoodie, closed the trunk and handed it to me.

"Thank you so much, I was freezing." I said and chuckled nervously. She tilted her head but her face showed no sign of emotion.

I pulled the garment over my head and suddenly felt the warmth my body desired. Anna was leaned against her Jeep as her eyes trailed from my eyes to my lips, luring me into her web. I stood frozen by her gaze and she noticed so she straighted her body against the jeep, waiting for her spell to work.

My brain and heart went head to head for control over my limbs as I slowly made my way over to her. Each step my heartbeat boomed in my ear and my breathing shivered.

My heart then sang sweet melodies to my stomach that woke the butterflies and they began to dance their wings as I got closer. We were now so close I could see the smile lines at the side of her eyes and her perfume eliminated the scent of the fresh beach air.

"Eva." she whispered, held on to my waist and gently pulled me into her body. Finally her face revealed what she felt inside and a smile crept across her face.

She leaned in tentatively and softly pressed her lips against mine. My heart belted songs of satisfaction making the butterflies boogie in my stomach. I slinked my hands on her face and held her cheeks pulling her into me and deepening the kiss.

"Eva." she muttered against my mouth as I trapped her bottom lip between my teeth. She gripped my waist tighter and groaned with passion as our lips synced with the music on my heart and danced on beat.

My breathing got heavier and between my legs began to get wet as the kiss intensified. Her hands trailed up my back, against my bare skin causing me to moan into her mouth.

"Hey Eva I was....oops, sorry." the voice said and I pulled away. Anna leaned her head back against the Jeep and sighed but she kept her eyes on me. I turned around to see Lauren walking back to the bon fire.

Anna let go of me, fixed the bottom of the hoodie and said "You're most welcome".
