Anna's POV

Before I drove off I gave Eva the eye drops and waited for her to use it.

"I can't do it for myself." she said. I took it and did it for her then dove out the yard.

"I have a question!" Katie blurted out and Sab giggled.

"What is it idiot?" I asked her.

"Okay so how have you been able to express your love so openly after being a literal brick wall for years?" she asked. I looked in the rear view in hopes of getting a glimpse of her facial expression.

"Where is this coming from?" I asked.

"Well to be honest, I see the way you are with Eva and Jean Victor thinks I'm very stingy with my emotions which is beginning to put a strain on our little situation." she opened up. I took a deep breath, gathered my thoughts and gave her my most honest answer.

"It's been a rocky road which you all have seen but Eva's patience with me has helped me. She understood that I was genuinely incapable, at the time, of opening up myself emotionally. Before we were official I laid all my cards on the table and gave her the option to leave or stay." I said. I looked back and saw all three of them listening intently to me.

"You did?" Sab asked.

"Yup, it was only fair. So Katie just let him know that it's something you struggle with and take it from there." I advised her.

"Thanks idiot. Okay one more question." she said quickly.

"Girl! Urghh, okay what is it?" I asked.

"How do you still do nice things when you're upset?" she questioned.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Okay like the night you met Dev when Christian pulled Eva or the time at her birthday party when the guy made her uncomfortable or earlier when you fixed her plate." she said.

"Because I love her." I simply said and the car suddenly filled with sounds of adoration.

"Okkkaayyy allrriighhhtt. That's enough." I said and they laughed. We continued to talk as I dropped them off one by one until it was just Eva and I. She was very subdued during the car ride and only chimed in occasionally. I decided to drive to my usual secret spot and parked. I came out, opened the trunk door then her door and she followed me to the trunk. We sat down in silence for a long time, she laid her head on my shoulder and sighed.

"I was so wrong but all the signs were pointing to her." she finally said. "I mean she literally had two phones, who has two phones?" she continued. I remained silent and allowed her to just vent.

"Also that visit to that tech store in the mall, that was suspicious wasn't it? Wasn't it? Of course it was so really I wasn't being delusional, was I?" she continued to answer her questions as she tried to reassure herself that the situation wasn't as bad as it really was.

"Boon, say something!" she then shouted as her own answers weren't enough to calm her down.

Eva's POV

Anna looked at me and gave me a half smile.

"Eva, relax. What do you want from me? The truth or do you want me to agree with you?" she asked. I thought they were both one in the same but apparently I was wrong.

"The truth please." I said.

"Eva, your sister is selling weed." she said calmly.

"WHAT?!?" I said and stood up. Anna grabbed my pants waist and pulled me back to her.

"Think about it." she said and sat me in her lap.

"She should've just said that!" I snapped.

"Well you were being too nosy, I'm pretty sure she wanted to tell you but you weren't giving her chance to do that freely." she said. She leaned back and looked at me. "Eva you've got to relax and observe. Pay attention because the answer to most things are right in your face." she continued.

"So why didn't you share your theory with me before?" I asked.

"You told me stay out, so I did." she answered and shrugged her shoulders. I sighed heavily and buried my face in my palms.

"What if she hates me for life? Like you know like what if like what if she-" I stuttered and she cut me off.

"Hey, calm down and listen. Just apologize and give her space, that's all. Don't be upset if she doesn't accept your apology immediately because what you did was fucked up. When you're apologizing don't look for any excuses, just own up to what was done and leave it up to her to accept it or not." she advised. She was right, I did fuck up and I had to understand that. No excuses.

I leaned into her chest and put my arms around her waist while she kissed the top of my head. We stayed like that for a long time then her phone rang. She sat up and answered it.

"Hey Mom.....yeah I'm fine.....how are you?.....oh wow, that sounds like so much fun.......*laughs*.......uh huh.......oh uhmmm okay...........yeah, no I'm good........alright bye, love you too." and then she hung up. She leaned back once more and I rested my head on her chest.

"How's your mom?" I asked.

"She's great. She just wanted to check up on me I guess." she answered and she put her cheek on the top of my head.

"Sometimes I wish I could have you to myself all the time." she confessed.

"But you do Boon." I said.

"Not in my head." she whispered. "Let's go home and eat ice cream to our hearts content." she continued. I sat up, looked at her and she smiled softly.

"Hell fucking yeah!" I shouted, got off her lap and ran to the front door. She closed the trunk door and got in the driver's seat.

"Someone's excited." she said and laughed.

"Yes because I need that right now." I said.

"Say less beautiful." she said. We drove away from her secret spot and she put her hand on my thigh with a reassuring squeeze.

We finally got back to the house and went straight to the kitchen. Anna told me to sit down and got ice cream, oreos, sprinkles, whipped cream, chocolate syrup, milk and two mason jars.

She blended the ice cream with milk and oreos then decorated the inside of jar with chocolate syrup. She then poured the mixture into the jar, put whipped cream on top, more syrup, sprinkles and a straw.

"Here ya go m'lady." she said and walked around the counter and gave me a jar.

"You're irreplaceable, you know that?" I told her.

"I hope so." she said and gave me a kiss.
