Demon time

Eva's POV 

"Suck my fucking asshole, BITCH!" were the words that jolted me out of my sleep. I opened my eyes to see Anna with her headset on, sitting in front of her gaming set up. I stretched for my phone on the night stand and saw the time, 6:24am.

"Morning beautiful." she said without looking back.

"Morning, how are you up this early?" I asked.

"It's not early bruh. You're a sleepy head that's all." she said. I threw a pillow at her because she woke me up with her shouting. 

"Owwww!" she screamed which was definitely an exaggeration. 

"Dramatic much?" I said and rolled my eyes. She took off her headset an scooted her chair over to me.

"Why'd you do that miss?" she asked while I giggled. She held my ankles and dragged me off the bed and onto her lap. I roared with laughter while she planted kisses all over my face and neck.

"Not *kiss* so *kiss* tough *kiss* now *kiss* huh?" she teased. She stopped and looked at me as I cackled, with adoration on her face. She set me back on the bed and scooted back to her game. I stayed in bed for another hour or so until I decided to take a shower and get something to eat. Anna's mother made breakfast and I carried Anna's food for her since apparently she would rather play that game that full her stomach. 

"Anna, stop and eat with me." I said and she grumbled something under her breath. "I didn't quite hear you ma'am." I said.

"I'm not hungry Eva." she protested. I stood there with both plates in my hand and looked at her. She slowly took off her headset, got up from her chair, walked over to me and took the plate. She sat on the bed and I plopped down next to her. We ate in comfortable silence until she finished and spoke.

"You're such a bully babe, hmph!" she complained. I laughed at her pouted lips and crossed arms, nothing compared to when she was angry. 

"Oh shush, you can go back to your game until I'm ready to eat lunch." I said. She smiled and ran back to where she reluctantly left. While Anna got lost in her game, I went to the in-house theater to watch Anime with some snacks and grape koolaid. It wasn't 10 minutes when Anna came in.

"Bruh why you so far?" she asked and stood directly in front of me. 

"Boon, you're blocking me." I said. She moved my leg and made room for herself. She bundled up next to me under the covers and snuggled under my neck. 

"I thought you didn't like anime." I said. 

"I don't but I like you and you went missing so here I am." she said. I put my arms around her and continued to watch Hunter x Hunter. The rest of the day was the definition of a lazy Sunday, we got ice cream with Anna's mother and Esther later that evening then Anna dropped me off at home and left with her mother.

Anna's POV

I got up right before sunrise and went to take a walk on the treadmill. I needed to do more to strengthen my knee but truth be told I was afraid of damaging it. I walked for an hour, took a shower and got ready for school. I ate breakfast, chatted with my mom before she left for work. She called an Uber and lent me her car until Tuesday. It was nice to see her back out to work although it meant I'd see less of her. I scrolled through my phone for bit then left for school. I felt great as I blasted my happy playlist on my way, I got my girl back, my mom was back to functioning at her best and I was taking steps to improve my knee. 

I pulled into the school yard and immediately spotted Eva and our friends. She wore a pair of purple sweatpants, white cropped tank and white AF1 with some sort of anime character painted on it. She looked amazing. 

"Wazzzuuuupppp." I shouted with my tongue out. Katie and Sab replied and we all laughed.

"Hey Anna, can I talk to you for a sec?" Cooper asked. Eva shot a menacing look at me before I walked away with Cooper.

"What you wanna do about Brad and his boys?" he asked.

"As much as I wanna fuck them up, we have to be patient. Plus I kinda promised Eva I'd let it go but if they make a move we'd have to retaliate." I told him. He agreed and we went back to the group. 

"Boon, how's the nose? You ever found out who ambushed you?" Katie asked. 

"It's good and nope. I don't even wanna know cause I can't do anything about it, unfortunately." I said dissatisfied. 

"Eva told you to forget it, huh?" Devyn asked. I nodded and Sab gave Eva a high five.

"That's right Eva, they can't be fighting and getting hurt all the time." Sab added. 

"Same thing I said. I'm not cleaning up any more of Boon's blood." Eva said then the school bell rang. I grabbed Eva's arm before she walked off and put my arms on her shoulders. She wrapped her arms around me, mid back.

"Goodmorning beautiful." I said and smiled.

"Morning Boon." she replied and looked at my lips then back at me. She always did that in public when she wanted to kiss me.

"You can if you want to." I said giving her permission although she didn't need to. We kissed, short and sweet. I took my arms off her shoulder but she didn't remove hers. 

"I don't know what Cooper told you but please don't get into trouble." she pleaded. I returned my arms and hugged her. During the hug I noticed a commotion on the staircase and I saw Cooper at the bottom on the ground. He was screaming in pain. I looked at Eva and she let go of me immediately. I ran over to Cooper's aid and I saw him clutching his shoulder. Luckily Sab was already down the hall by her locker.

"Cooper what happened!" I asked as I helped him up. 

"Fucking Brad pushed me down the stairs. I swear to God Anna I'll fucking kill him!" he shouted. I carried him to the school nurse who was better equipped to assess the damage and get medical assistance, than I was. I stayed with him until the principal told me I had to go to class. I walked in to class late and I was so angry that I completely ignored the teacher's questions about my tardiness. I looked up and saw Brad sitting next to Eva. The rage that I felt, not towards Eva though she looked like she was forced to sit there.

There was an empty seat next to Devyn so I sat and not once did I look at Brad, I wouldn't give him the satisfaction. I knew he was trying to get to me but he had no idea the demon he was about to unearth by using Eva as bait.
