Slipping

Eva's POV

"Boon, that won't happen." I said with certainty. When it got darker we decided to leave. Got to my house and we said our goodbyes and as I got inside my mom greeted me.

"Goodnight Eva." she said.

"Night Mom." I replied as I sat in the kitchen with her.

"What restaurant did y'all go to?" she asked.

"The Polo Lounge! Omg mom that place is amazing. The food, the ambiance and service *chef's kiss*!" I said in excitement. Contrary to what Anna thought, my mother and I were very close. The only thing I didn't tell her was that I was bisexual not because I was afraid but because I wasn't ready.

"So Anna carried you to a fancy restaurant? What a friend huh?" she questioned.

"Uhhhhh, yeah I guess." I answered.

"That girl probably has a crush on you Eva." she said and looked at me with an expression I couldn't explain.

"Uhh maybe idk. I don't think so she said I mean she doesn't I'm sure I mean it's not like-" I fumbled my way through that sentence and just stopped. I wasn't making any sense.

"Okay Eva, goodnight." she said and left the kitchen. I went up to my room confused. How did she know? Why wasn't she angry? Maybe I should tell her everything and ease my mind. I changed, brushed my teeth and went to bed.

~Next morning~

I woke up and got ready for school. Anna was picking me up and she's usually always on time. I got downstairs and my mother was making breakfast. We exchanged greetings and it remained silent after that until Anna came.

"That's Anna, right on time as usual." my mom said and looked at me. I ignored her comment and said my goodbye.

Anna's POV

"Morning Boon." Eva said as she got in.

"Morning beautiful. You good?" I asked.

"Yup. My mom's being weird but I'm fine." she said. As I drove away from her house she leaned over and kissed me. I loved that.

"What is she being weird about?" I asked.

"She said you had a crush on me and that's why you were took me out to an expensive restaurant." she said.

"Wow. Did you tell her I got to fuck you before I took you out?" I said as I tried to keep a straight face.

"Fuck off!" she said and flipped me off.

"On my bathroom counter?" I said, this time I laughed and she joined me. We picked up Katie and got to school. We got out, went to Sab and were in our usual morning huddle before the bell rang.

"Hey Eva!" a voice interrupted us and we turned towards it.

"Hey what's up?" she replied.

"Hey Christian." Katie also replied with a smile.

"Hey." I said. Sab said nothing because he and Cooper were not friends. He tried to get with Sab while she was with Cooper and Cooper found out and they had a huge fight. 

"It's senior year and I've always had a crush on you so I'm wondering, would you want to go watch a movie with me sometime?" he asked Eva. I looked at Katie and mouthed no. She was about to say something to him but he wasn't talking to us so let Eva answer.

"Uhmm thanks but no thank you. I'm not available." she said.

"Well that's fine, enjoy your day." He said and left.

"It's hard to keep my cool, when other bitches tryna get with my girl." Katie sang and looked at me. I laughed so hard. I wasn't upset at all because I trusted Eva.

"Watch him Anna, he always has something planned. He and Emma are close friends." Sab warned. The bell rang and we went to class. During periods I would glimpse Christian and Emma huddled in a corner whispering. I never noticed until after Sab's warning. Whatever they were planning I thought it had nothing to do with Eva and I so I dismissed the idea.

After school while Eva and I waited for Katie she asked "You were so calm when Christian asked me out, how come?"

"Cause I trust you." I said.

"I trust you too Boon." she said. I mean that was questionable because of past events but hey, eventually she'd be able to trust me I guess. Katie came I dropped them off at their respective destinations.

Eva's POV

Anna's reaction was weird, I mean it was ideal and non toxic but weird.

The week dragged on but every now and then Christian would make small talk with me, more often than usual. Sometimes he'd walk me to my class or even bring me coffee on mornings. Anna said nothing and to be honest it seemed that she didn't even notice anything.

Two weeks passed and Christian kept doing those little things and I accepted. I already told him I was taken so there was no confusion on where I stood.

One Thursday after the last bell rang I was going to meet Anna by her car, as usual, then I heard Christian call out to me. He stood close to the girls restroom.

"Hey what's up?" I asked.

"Are you and Anna together?" he asked. Which was weird because I assumed everyone knew.

"Yeah, why?" I questioned.

"You sure?" he asked and pushed open the door.

I froze in disbelief at the sight that poisoned my eyes. There she was, the love of my life, my baby Boon, kissing Emma.

"Bruh, Fuck You!" I shouted and walked away. I sped walked through the hallway pushing every cunt in my way. I caught Sab and Cooper just leaving and flagged them down to get a ride home. As we were pulling off I heard Anna shout out to Cooper and of course he stopped.

"Eva *pant* please *pants* they fucking set *pants* me up." she said while she tried to catch her breath.

"If you ever fucking talk to me again I will claim harassment. You're dead to me." I said to her. Sab and Cooper looked back at me in shock. Anna stepped back from the vehicle with her hands up and mumbled "Good fucking job Christian, well fucking played."

When Cooper drove off Sab turned to me and said "what the fuck was that?"
