Aftermath

Anna's POV

"Yes, Eva Cudmore. Your girlfriend that isn't your girlfriend." Lo said. I didn't respond because she obviously saw someone that looked like her and with a girl to add, no way. I just shrugged my shoulders and so did she. She was a go with the flow person so my reaction didn't bother her. 

The boys were so high that anything they said or did was hilarious to us and I think I suffered from second hand high. They kept asking me questions about set life on Game Of Thrones and I was making up a whole bunch of random things, that they believed and Lo and I couldn't recover from the laughter. At one point he held on to my shoulder to hold herself up from falling with laughter then she turned around.

"See, look there's Eva behind you." I spun around and saw the back of her head, hurry back into the house. I ran behind her and I assumed Lo and the boys followed, I didn't look back to confirm. I got back into the party that was just warm sea of musty fuckers grinding on each other, some too drunk to dance on beat and others too high to slow down. It was indeed a party to remember.

Before I ran around like a headless chicken I stood on the base of a pillar in the house and spotted her next to her sister and some other strangers. The interaction looked more hostile and less friendly so I jumped down and hustled over to her. I spotted Sab and the girls also making their way over to Eva but I was closer and that's when I saw one of the girls pour her drink on Eva's head.

Jessica spun around, punched the girl directly in her nose and I flinched because I knew that the pain she would've felt in a few seconds. The guy with them launched toward Jessica but Eva saw him and pushed him back she then spat in his face. I was about five footsteps away from the altercation when that boy did the worst thing he could've ever done, he slapped Eva across her face and floored her. The scream Eva let out pierced through my heart and angered every single bone in my body. It happened in slow motion but my reaction was in real time. I looked left and a dark haired boy was just about to finish a bottle of Corona when I grabbed it from his hand. I heard someone shout my name but nothing and no one, not even Eva had the ability to stop me in that moment.

With all the rage coursing through my body I ran up to the cunt and smashed the bottle on the side of his face. His friends shrieked and ran over to him but I stood in their way.

"You will be jailed for this!!" one shouted. I stooped down and met him bloody and crying in pain.

"Next time think twice, even thrice before you raise your hand for a girl, especially that girl." I whispered.

"I'll kill you bitch!" he shouted.

"If you can see out your right eye, sure." I whispered and got up.

Eva's POV

Anna grabbed my hand and walked through the already parted crowd till we were outside. Lauren, the stoners, Sab and the girls and her cousins all followed but she didn't stop until we got to her car. She stopped, turned around and moved hair out my face to examine the bruise. I was crying because everything happened so fast and my face felt swollen. 

"I should've killed him." she muttered through clenched teeth. She pulled me in a hug and gently kissed the side of my face that was swollen but quickly detached when the others got closer.

"Anna you're fucking bleeding!" Katie shouted angrily. I looked down and saw her hand was indeed bleeding. 

"You're fucking Anna Shumate! That's where I know you from, fucking Tiktok bro." one of the guys she was smoking with blurted out. Anna looked at Lauren and they both snickered.

"Anna hun, you should go see about that." Dev advised and Sab agreed. 

"Was this invite only? Who's that guy?" Anna shot those questions at her cousins.

"We don't know half of the people there." one of them said.

"Why the FUCK would you have random people at the house? That was the main fucking rule you fucking idiots, now look what the fuck happened. Please go and clear the fucking house you idiot motherfuckers!" she yelled at the twin. They ran back up the hill to the house to do what she just instructed.

"Ayo, Boon your hand!" Katie reminded her. She looked down and back up to me then to Jessica.

"You good to drive?" she asked her and she said yes.

"Okay drop the girls home with Eva's car." she instructed. Jessica walked over to me for the key card and hugged me tight.

"I'm so sorry." she whispered in my ear and left with the girls. By that time Anna was already in her jeep waiting for me to get in. I got in but remembered that she shouldn't be driving in her condition.

"Anna you can't drive." I said. She took off her shirt and wrapped her hand with it.

"Watch me." she said and screeched off. She drove above the speed limit but I wasn't complaining because I knew she had to get home in a hurry. We got home, hopped out and hurried inside. There was a bigger medicine cabinet in her mother's bedroom with bigger bandages and more medical kits. I slowly took off the shirt and gasped when I saw the depth of the wound. It looked like it was very close to bone.

"Boon this should be seen by a doctor or something." I advised while I cleaned.

"Just do it or I'd do it myself." she barked. I put on a pair of gloves, took her rings off, cleaned the wound with saline solution and removed splinters from inside the wound with a tweezer.

"Fuck!" she grumbled. I applied antibacterial cream before I finally wrapped it it gauze and used paper tape to keep it in place. It was not as bad as it looked but I wasn't confident that what I did was enough. I knew she needed go get stitches.

"Finished?" she asked when I was obviously finished. 

"Yup." I answered

"Okay leave everything, I'd clean it tomorrow." she said and we went to her room. I took off my sneakers, jewelry then lastly my dress but I was too exhausted to take my makeup off and went directly to bed with it. Jessica texted and said that everyone was home safe.

"Jess said she got everyone home safely and that she too was home." I told Anna.

"Good." she said and left the room. She came back with a bag of frozen peas and a kitchen towel.

"Here, this should help with the swelling." she said and threw the bag on the bed.

"Thank you." I said and held it against my face with the kitchen towel. Anna laid horizontally at the bottom of the bed and played with my toes. I finally was able to relax my body and eventually closed my eyes.

I felt the same way and before I knew it I was off to sleep.
