Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 11

Homura was sitting on the swing waiting for the bell to ring. "Hey Ho-Mu-Ra! How are you?" A voice rung out. "Great! Just fine. How are you Naruto-Kun?" She asked as the blond sat down next to the tree. "Are you the new kid in my class?" He asked. "Most likely. Sorry I didn't start with you at the start of the year but I got held up" she replied bowing to him. "N-no! It's fine! I just didn't expect you to be late!" He said a light blush raising to his cheeks. She smiled at him as the bell went. "Let's go! There are some really nice people you might like!" He said pulling her up. 'And maybe they can keep you away from me, so you won't get bullied' he thought as they ran down the halls and into class.

They burst through the door as the class had settled down. "Naruto in your seat! Hello my name is Mizuki-sensei. Please introduce yourself" the white haired make said calmly. "Hello! My name is Homura Nameikaze! I love reading and training and hope to make my family proud!" She said smiling warmly at the class. A few people smiled back, others nodded and some stared at her. She then walked up to the back if the class and sat down next to a mini-Shikaku. Mizuki then started the lesson.

It was lunch now and Homura was sitting next to a chubby kid called Choji and the Shikaku look-a-like called Shikamaru. "Did you and Naruto get lost?" Choji asked while eating chips. "No we were talking at the swing. He and I are friends!" She replied sweetly. "So did the Hokage ask you to do that?" Shikamaru asked. Sighing she replied "no. And what are we playing? 20 questions?". Shikamaru laughed and Choji rolled his eyes "you two are too much like each other". They continued eating lunch until Sakura and Ino told Homura to follow them. She waved goodbye to the boys and followed them into a small field. "Ok! Girls how are we gonna do it?" A brown haired girl asked. "Um~ do what?" Homura asked. "Talk to Sasuke-Kun!" They all yelled at her. "Easy!" Homura said beckoning to follow her and walking over to them.

"Hey! Sasuke-Kun! How's Itachi-Kun doing?" She asked sitting next to the bored boy. "Just fine. He told me to give you this" Sasuke said handing over a sheet of paper "some Fire and lightning-jutsus on it. Might help you". She nodded and took the slip of paper smiling. "Those girls wanna talk to ya. I'd personally run if I where you" She replied standing up and walking away. "Urm~ thanks?" He said as she waved at him.

The bell rang just as she spotted Naruto and they walked to class together. They talked about the next subject. They arrived before the others and they where the first to get into class. 10 minutes after the last of the class had arrived two teachers came into class. "Girls come with me! Boys stay here" the female teacher commanded. The girls stood up and filed out if the classroom and followed the teacher to the field. "Ok girls! Does anyone know the main reason for female ninja's?" The teacher asked. Homura's hand shoot up narrowly beating Sakura's.

"Yes?". "A female ninja's main purpose was for infiltration, men didn't bother with women because they where considered weak and stupid. So female ninja's where born. A way to get information and a lot of it. Not many men will question a woman being where she is. And women are nimbler, faster and generally more skilled when it comes to being quite" Homura reeled off. "Yes. Very good! Now for a female to fit in they must learn the ways of a woman in whatever village or town that is needs to be infiltrated. Please spend the next hour picking flowers and we will present bouquets to the class afterwards" the teacher instructed gesturing to the field. Everyone nodded and Homura, Ino and Sakura went off in a little group.

"Hey wait up! You guys!" Sakura called running and tripping. "Geez you're such a clutch" Ino said rolling her eyes. Homura giggled and set out to work as a bunch of girls came up to them. "Homura! You don't want to hang out with billboard brow! She has a big forehead!" The leader said gesturing her to follow. "No. I like Sakura! She is a good friend of mine!" Homura resorted. "Sure whatever you just don't want to hurt her feelings. But you don't need to hang out with riff-raff like her. That's where we come in" the leader said holding out her hand. "I think I can do that by myself. You only want to be my friend because of my Tou-San and Kaa-San. They want to be my friend because I'm me" Homura said pointedly "now back off or you'll know why I like training".

They refused to move and turned to taunting Sakura instead. Sighing Homura picked three little flowers and threw them and her, as Ino did the same thing. "Oh! Sorry! I thought your head was an empty vase and thought I better put something in it!" I no said cheerfully. Homura smirked and continued the act "Oh whoops! Those are poisonous!". "Ghaaaaaa! I'll get you for this Ino-pig and you Freak!" The leader screamed running off. "Whoops... It's only the roots that are poisonous!" Ino and Homura giggled at the same time. "Thank you for standing up for Sakura! But we've this now!" Ino said smiling as she and Sakura wondered away.

Homura walked away from her first day at The Academe. "Tough ain't it?" Naruto asked catching up with her. "Nah. It was alright but I'm just not used to being given two breaks in between training or learning" she replied. "Let's get Ichirakus!" Naruto called as the small shop came into view. "Yeah. Let's get Ichirakus".
