Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 12

Zetsu slowly walked down the corridor. Their flytrap add-ons in their 'room'. "Anything important Zestu?" A voice asked. "The Girl, she's growing up fast. She may be a problem as she grows up" he replied sadly "tell me. Must we kill the child?". "Don't tell me you've grown to feel for the annoyance" the voice asked. "Maybe Master." He replied. "Well.... I have no use for someone who will hesitate on a mission" The Master replied taking out his Kanata. The hooded man lunged at Zetsu who melted into the ground. "You have no power over us. You may have created us, but you created something that went horribly right" Zetsu said, voice echoing around the walls, coming from nowhere and everywhere at the same time. Sharp, thin spikes shot up through the ground and pierced the mans body. He went limp and Zetsu disappeared into thin air. The man stirred as soon as they left and smirked, "well that went to plan".

Homura had just returned to the village after a 'secret mission' from the Mizukage. It was a quick tip and run to the village where Gato used to rule, she was to check if everything was all ok. A nice simple C-Rank mission, until she discovered that Gato had somehow risen from the dead and was ruling the town again. She entered her home with a heavy heart. "Not only did he survive but he's gotten smarter too" she sighed munching on an apple.

There was a knock at the door and she answered it. "Where were you for the past week DATTEBAYO!" Naruto screamed as Ino and Sakura engulfed her into a hug. "We where so worried!" They both exclaimed letting her go. "Sorry... Training accident I was released from the hospital just now" she said rubbing her head. "W-well you need t-to get back soon. F-final exams are just around the corner!" Hinata mumbled. "Don't worry! We've all got this in the bag!" Homura said smiling like an idiot. "Yeah especially Sasuke-Kun!" Ino and Sakura said dreamily. Homura stuck her finger down her throat and pretended to vomit silently as Naruto laughed, blushing slightly.

One week later and it was the final test for the final exams, the simple cloning jutsu. Homura could see Naruto stressing out behind her, and Mizuki-sensei looked beside himself with excitement. They where told to either study up or to mingle quietly and to wait for their names to be called. Homura walked up to Naruto and sat on his desk. "Hey, you're gonna do fine! Just remember to use a nice, big load of chakra" she said reassuringly tousling his tangled blond mop.

"But Homura-chan, shadow cloning is my worst jutsu!" He whined bursting his head into his arms. "That's not the Naruto I know! The Naruto I know would never give up! And he always does his best!" She said pulling a face, she was up next. "Yeah you're right! I'm gonna pass!" He said jumping up into the desk "and I'm gonna be the best ninja there ever was!". "SHUT UP NARUTO!" Iruka-sensei shouted from the other room. "SORRY IRUKA-SENSEI!" Naruto shouted back. She pulled him down and shoved a riceball into his mouth. "Shut up Baka!" She hissed as her name was called.

She walked into the other room as Mizuki-sensei looked slightly irritated and Iruka-sensei looked relived. "Just a simple clone jutsu please Homura-chan" Iruka-sensei said a tic mark pulsing. "Yes sensei" she chirped cloning herself 4 different times. "Thank you. You pass" Mizuki-sensei said throwing her a headband with the leaf symbol on it and gesturing her to leave. She nodded but as she reached the door she said "Mizuki-sensei. I don't think Iruka-sensei likes that". Homura left and walked back home.

That night Himura heard someone run across her roof. She quickly looked out her window to see quite a few Jonin and Chunin outside. She spotted Iruka-sensei and jumped down to him. "Konichiwa Sensei, what's all the ruckus about?" She asked him. "Naruto as run off with the a very important scroll" he said noticing it was her. "By the way" he said hugging her "thank you, he left me alone after that". "No worries, you just didn't seem very comfortable" she replied hugging him back. "Now where could he have got to?" He asked releasing her and looking around. "He could have gone to the weird mill on the 15th training ground" she said passively. "I'll check there you go back to bed" he instructed leaping into the sky.

The next day it was picture day for the new ninjas. "I hate pictures" Homura muttered as Sakura tried to manage her long, thick, wild, red hair. "Do. You. Ever. Brush. It?" She asked through clenched teeth. "No I like the wild look" she whined as she continued attacking the others hair. "Do you at least wash it?" Ino asked mortified. "Yeah~ of corse I do" Homura replied as Sakura finally managed to pull through her hair. She brushed it until it was dead strait and put it into a ponytail with the fringe out. "There! Now some lipgloss should make you look amazing!" Ino said reaching into her bag. Homura hissed and said "don't come near me with that stuff". "Fine!" Ino said rolling her eyes. "Nameikaze, Homura" A voice call tiredly.

"Hello, Gui-sensei! How are you?" She asked coming around the corner. "*YAWN* Just fine. I see you've dealt with your hair" he said. "Sakura's fault. Oh! Hello Lee!" She said noticing the smaller version of Gui-sensei. "Hello Homura-Chan! How is your Taijutsu going?" He asked hugging her. "Just fine thanks to you Lee. Gotta take this damn picture and get it over with" she said walking over to the Photographer.

"Those two are nutshells" the guy taking the picture. "Let me guess they treated you to the 'youthful' speech" he replied rolling her eyes. "Yep. Went in for an hour. The big guy kept falling asleep" he muttered taking a quick picture. She jumped down and walked past Naruto putting red spirals on his hands and race, and those parts where painted snow-white. "What they hell are you doing?" She asked, making him jump. "Trying to look awesome!" he said smiling up at her. "Baka. How is anyone gonna recognize you like that?" She asked sitting down. "I.. I don't.. Know. I.... Uh.... Just wanted to look cool!" He said crossing his arms. She rolled her eyes and stood up. "Ok. But don't blame me when Hokage-Sama makes you take it again" she said walking away.
