Chapter 25

Match 1:
Naruto Uzamaki vs. Neji Hyuga.
Winer: Naruto Uzamaki.

Match 2:
Sasuke Uchiha vs. Gaara
Winer: Gaara.

Match 3:
Temari vs. Shikamaru Nara
Winer: Shikamaru Nara.

Match 4:
Konkuro vs Shino Aburama
Winer: still fighting.

Match 5:
Homura Nameikaze vs. Dosu Kinuta
Winer: to fight soon.

Match 6:
Jūka Shiragi vs. Kura Irukugi
Winer: still to fight.

Kisame sat in the stands watching the puppet master and the bug kid, as he's dubbed them, beat each other into living pulps. The first one was surprising and the yellow fuzzball seemed really powerful. The second one people seemed particularly interested in. Especially the man next to him. But he was here for the next one, he wanted to see exactly how powerful the little redhead had gotten.

Finally the matched ended and Homura was at ease. She had already given hr opponent much to be scared of, during the last exam, and she had trained hard. Her and Dosu's names where called and the entered the arena. "Ok same rules as before, I can stop the match" the proctor said. "Alright! This is the final match! Leaf vs. Sound!" He said loud enough for the Kage's above to hear "This match has begun!". Just as the proctor started the match smoke covered the three Kages and the Kazekage was sent to the ground, swiftly followed by his wife. "The Hokage is in trouble! And our leader will crush him" Dosus crackled. Homura punched him, sending him flying before rushing over to the two fallen people's aid. "Kazekage-sama! Are you and your wife ok?" She asked as their kids came running in the arena.

"Homura-chan! We are fine thank you but The Hokage was dragged to the roof top by a masked man!" Karura said pointing up to the roof and accepting her children's hugs. Homura nodded and the proctor went to the roof, as hundreds of sound ninja flooded into the arena and village. Gaara looked up to the stands, "they are all asleep. Some are awake but most are asleep" he said. "I'll cheek if any that are awake are ninja. We are gonna need all the help we can get. Temari and Karura could you please go into the village and help evacuate the woman and children, Gaara, Kakuro and Kazekage-sama could you help them and protect the village?" She asked standing up.

Each person nodded and took off. She jumped up to the stands and collided head first into Kisame. "Hello redhead. Want some help?" He asked. "Yes please. Is there anyone else awake?" She asked. "Here! Us, Kakashi-sensei, Shikamaru and Kiba are awake!" Sakura called running up to the two. Naruto, Kakashi, Kiba and Shikamaru soon followed her. "I am here to!" Gai said appearing out of nowhere. "The sand ninja's and Kazekage are all helping the leaf by escorting the woman and children, as well as fighting off the intruders. I'll go help them" Homura said. "No. You help Hokage-sama. We'll keep this lot of you tail. This lot can help them" Kisame said as Kakashi and Gai nodded. "Alright! Stay alive!" She said jumping to the roof.

"Hello child. We meet again. Now you can watch me kill this old bastard" the masked man said. "Leave the Hokage alone... You have me to deal with" Homura said taking a stance. "Child! Leave! I have this!" Sarutobi said. "No sir. Your life comes before the ninjas. Plus this guy and I seem to have unfinished matters" she said as the man released the older man and pushed him over. "Yes we do. You are to die here and now" the man said advancing. She went to punch him but her fist went strait through him. "What? How? I punched you! Dead on! How did you dodge?" She asked as something red gleamed in his only visible eye. "Ha! You will never touch me!" He screamed punching her and sending her flying. "Homura! Don't touch her!" Kiba screamed coming to her aid. "Huh? A boy? Heh. This one seems suicidal as well" the man crackled. "Shut up! This battle will end with you dead!" Kiba screamed as both Homura and himself stood up ready to fight.They advanced and attacked.

Their battle didn't last long and soon both where near death. Kiba more so, Homura had activated and been using her Byakugan. "That is enough! Step aside! This is my battle now!" Sarutobi cried jumping protectively in front of the two. "You two! If you do not leave and get to somewhere safe, you will have again directly disobeyed a order from me, and you know what that means!" He said. They nodded and scampered down to the lower levels. "Kaka-sensei! The Hokage as refused help! He is on the building!" Homura called to her sensei. "Go find Naruto and the others! Then take cover and heal! Make your way to the safe houses!" He commanded. They nodded and ran out the arena.

Naruto and Sakura where looking for the last of the villagers, when the bumped into Homura and Kiba as well as some academe students. "This is the last of them! We need to get them to the safe houses and stay there! Kakashi's orders!" Kiba cried over the noise of the fighting and keeping Homura up, who was starting to collapse due to her lack of chakra. "Ok! Kids follow me! Naruto you get them to the houses" Sakura said running with the kids. Naruto helped Kiba get a better grip on his 'luggage' and lead the way. They arrived 20 minutes later with an unconscious Shikamaru and an awake Temari. "Alright! You two! This way! Hurry!" Naruto said running into the 'house'. It was more of a passive way cleverly hid in the side if The Hokage Mountain. They finally meet up with Sakura and Shikamaru, Kiba and Homura where given to medic ninja for healing.

The Kazekage burst through the door. "It's over! We've won!" He cried as everyone cheered. "But the Hokage didn't make it" he added sadly. Everyone was silent. Homura groaned and leaned her head on Kiba's shoulder, who wrapped his arm around her. Naruto slid down the wall and presses his lips together. Sakura wiped away tears, along with many of the woman and children, but Konahamaru, ran past out into the world looking for his grandfather. Homura stood up and followed him out, with the Kazekage following her out. "You have shown great courage and leadership skills, in my opinion you've earned the tittle Chūnin. I will recommend you to the next Hokage. Now go find that boy" he said stopping her. She nodded and caught up with Konahamaru.

"It's ok.... He's always gonna be here" Homura said placing a hand I et his heart. "But now I'm all alone! He left me all alone!" He cried hugging her. "No you are not! You have Naruto! And myself! And everyone in the village! Please don't cry" she said hugging him and rubbing his back. "I want him back!! Now!" He cried as everyone started filing out of the mountain. Naruto came over and took Konahamaru out of her care, taking him down the mountain while talking to him gently. Once everyone got back to the village, many of the men started walking in restoring what was left and many women started helping heal the children and left over men and gather food and crops. It was very hard to begin with but they made it in the end.
