Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 15

They went on simple missions for about three weeks before the long awaited outburst came from Naruto. "I wanna proper mission!!!" He cried stamping his feet. "You can't! You're just a Gennin!! You can only do D rank missions!" Iruka said. "Come on! Something harder!!! I wanna prove myself!!!" Naruto said sending a quick glance at Homura. "Naruto, you can't you became a ninja three weeks ago" The Third Hokage said. He began to explain the mission system, but no-one listened.

"Ok! I get it! But how are we gonna prove that we can get higher ranks if we don't get given a taste of a higher rank!" Naruto said, surprising everyone. After much arguing Naruto finally won and the team got given a C rank mission. A man walked into the room and asked "do you seriously expect me to stay alive with two chicks and a midget?". Naruto laughed because he thought the man was referring to Sasuke, but after a quick measurement it was proven that Naruto was shorter then Homura and Sakura by a centimeter. After he introduced himself as "Tazuna" they walked out to the gate and began walking to the the village Tazuna lived in.

They passed a puddle that made Homura stare, 'when was the last rainfall?' She thought as they continued walking. Suddenly two men appeared and attacked Kakashi, before turning to attack the rest. Sakura got into a protective stance in front of Tazuna. Homura stood to the side and watched Naruto and Sasuke battle it out with them. Finally she steeped in and managed to beat one away. She and the last one where exchanging blows and his blows where getting harder and harder. Eventually she got knocked to the ground and the man stood over her with a kuni. He brought it down just as Naruto's hand got in the way, with this distraction she threw a few kicks and punches making the man retreat.

"Is your hand ok?" Homura asked checking it. There was a slight purpley-black substance around the wound and she guessed it was poisoned. "We're gonna have to take Naruto back to the village. That looks like's poisoned" Kakashi said from the tree branches. Naruto took out a kuni and stabbed the wound with it making the poison leave his body. "I declare on this wound that I will complete this mission. I will protect Tazuna and return back to the village successful in this mission!" He said. "Naruto that was kinda cool with the whole getting rid of the poison stunt, but if you loose anymore blood you're gonna die" Kakashi said. Naruto started freaking out and Homura patched it up quickly.

They walked down a road, Naruto was on constant edge, soon he threw a kuni at a bush to find the 'culprit' to be a snow-white rabbit. He quickly started hugging and apologizing to the rabbit as Homura and Kakashi noticed a different Chakra hanging around. "Duck!" Kakashi yelled pushing everyone to the ground. A bunch of kuni and shurikans landed about three feet from them.

"Kakashi of the Sharingan eye... And Homura Nameikaze, daughter of the fourth Hokage. Very interesting" a voice said. Homura growled, "who are you?" Kakashi asked. A man in a mask appeared in a tree. "Your murderer" he whispered disappearing and then reappearing behind Homura. "You've grown up nicely, but you'll be harder to kill now that you have these" he said tapping just under her eyes. "Just let me kill the bridge builder and I won't kill you, today" the man said letting Homura go. "Never!" Kakashi said jumping in between her and the man. He sent a kick at the man who disappeared, "Gato will be upset. But I ain't attacking you with those things on your side" his voice said.

The three other Gennin and Tazuna all shot Homura a confused look, she shook her head "maybe later". They continued walking to the mist village.

Tazuna was greeted by a young woman apon their arrival. "Oh! Father! You made it!" She said. "This is my daughter Tsunami, on my grandson is around here somewhere" he said. "Yes, nice to meet you but we have something to discuss Tazuna" Kakashi said. He nodded and they disappeared for a while.
