Chapter 33

Kiba returned to the village in high sprits, seeming incrediblely happy. He turned in his report and returned to his home. Tsunade was puzzled, to say the least, she had no idea why he was so happy. Naruto passed the dog-nin on the way to his lunch and his happiness made him slightly uneasy. "What's with the grin Baka?" He asked. "Oh! I had a good mission! Easy and simple, just what I needed" Kiba said beaming at him and continuing his walk with Akamaru.

Homura dragged a body across the road to a small building. She knocked on the door and entered. "Hello miss! Do you need the back room?" The shopkeeper asked. "Yeah. That'd be nice" she responded dragging the body down the stairs. She walked up to the person behind a dingy looking counter and put the body in the table. "That, my very rich friend, is Mr. Jūrikugi Gosai. And worth quite a bit" she said as the man ran the DNA through a scanner. "So it is! I have your Ryo, let me go get it ma'am" he said running to a door. "How old are you?" A voice asked. Homura turned around to see a young blue haired woman, with piercings all over her face. "17 today. Who are you?" She asked. "Happy birthday, and my name is Konan, I am a leader of Amegakure" she said pushing her own dead convict onto the table.

"I see no headband, and you are defiantly a ninja, where are you from?" Konan asked. "The Hidden Leaf, I am on temporary leave" Homura explained. "When do you go back?" The bluette asked. "In exactly a year. I've learnt much in my travels" the redhead said as the man came back. "Here is your money and who have you got Konan-Sama?" He asked handing over the briefcase of money. "Miss. Hazuka Akemi, not worth much but I don't need much" she said shrugging. He nodded and grabbed a briefcase for her and the two women walked out the shop together. "What is your name?" The elder asked. "Homura Nameikaze, why?" The younger asked. "I've been looking for you. We have a job for you, if you would kindly accept?" The bluette asked, mock-bowing. "But of course! Let us leave!" Homura said bowed herself. Amber eyes met Blue and both women giggled, setting off for the rain-country.

"So basically all I have to do is to get some weird-ass flowers from the Hidden Sand?" Homura asked. "Hai, we aren't big friends with them but I heard you and their current leader are good friends" Pein, the Amegakure leader, said. "Ok, I should pay Gaara a visit anyway" she shrugged, bowed and left the room. "I don't think she knows that the old one stepped down" Konan said. "Possibly" Pein responded.

Homura arrived at the Sand Village three weeks later, just as she had expected. She walked up the streets heading towards the Kazekage tower. She kept her ears open for any sign for Gaara, but instead ran into Temari. "Temari!!! How are you?" She asked running up to the blonde. "Just fine! How are you? Have you come to congratulate Gaara?" Temari asked dropping her scrolls and hugging the redhead. "No why? I only came for this flower" the redhead said showing her a picture of it. "He's the new Kazekage, and I know where you can get some" Temari said picking up her scrolls and leading the way.

"Hey Gaara-Sama. Homura-Chan is here" Temari said opening the door to the office. "Hello Homura. What brings you here?" Gaara asked. "The Dokudoku flower, for a friend" Homura said shrugging. "Ok, Kakuro will take you, Temari has other matters to do" he said as said Puppet-master waved at her. "Let's go! Oh and congratulations on Kage-hood Gaara-Sama" Homura mocked running from the room as Gaara chuckled.

Kakuro and Homura walked down to a rare bit of green fields and spotted some beautiful pink, white and red flowers. "Here they are, Dokudoku flowers, wear gloves and how many do you need?" Kakuro asked. "About 15 was all I was told. Thank you for your help, I'll be leaving after I pick these" Homura said bowing to him. "No need to bow! But you're welcome!" He said rubbing the back of his head. "But you are of higher rank then myself! You're Jonin right?" Homura asked. "Well yeah, but we are friends!" He said. "Fine! Are you going to help me? Or go back?" She asked, pulling on gloves and walking out into the field. "I'll help. When are you going back to The Leaf?" Kakuro asked pulling on his own gloves. "11 mouths and 1 week" Homura replied gathering a couple of flowers.

Homura thanked Kakuro and walked out of the village. She waved goodbye to him as she walked down the path to her next destination, Amegakure. She breathed in the crispy air and decided she was going to miss the dryness once she got back to the Rain-Country. It made her feel like home was too far away, which it wasn't. "Just three weeks Homura! I can made it! Then somewhere warm!" Homura muttered walking briskly down the road.

"When do we attack Sir?" A cloaked nin asked. "We attack in Twelve mouths! We'll give the girl sometime to settle in. I'm a nice guy like that" the other man in the room said from his throne of mangled things. "Hai! How do you know that she'll return sir?" The nin asked. "I know because she won't leave her brother, she's softhearted like that" the man said glaring at the nin from under his cloak. "H-hai! We will start training our men right now!" The nin said disappearing in a cloud of smoke. "I do hope that girl will die slowly, she's a right pain in the neck" the man said smiling wickedly. "And to think she messed everything up by just being born!" He crackled, clearly insane. "I WILL KILL THE NAKEIKAZE TWINS EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!!!!!!" He screamed standing up and throwing his head back in insane laughter.
