Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 23

Homura stood in a defensive stance, as the ninja across from her smiled cruelly at her. She sneaked a smile towards her friends to see Kiba and Hinata looking at the man with large worried eyes. "I have the power to stop the match if I should feel like it. So... Begin!" The proctor said jumping out of the way. Kabuto advanced with chakra visibly in his hand. 'A medic!?!' She thought ducking and kicking his hand, breaking it. He healed and stood up. "That won't do much" he said as his eyes turned golden.

'Like Orochimaru's!' She thought as he advanced again. "I can see every move you make! Every thought you think! Ever breath you take! Give up and you won't die!" He shouted looking like a maniac, and smiling cruelly again. She blocked and counterattacked until she was in the corner of the room. "I have you now!!!!" He screamed smashing her head into the wall and holding her there. She feebly tried to get him off, before bursting into smoke. She was on the roof, "ok I have to thank someone for this and he knows who I'm talking about. Here on in you meet my nightmares!" She said as her hands melted into the hand sign. "Shishigan: Sand attack!" She cried as a giant wave of sand engulfed him and wrapped him in a cocoon. "Nice try! What are you gonna do?" He spat at her breaking free. "This" she said calmly stomping on the ground. The floor caved in and he fell into the hole. Before disappearing. "Substitution!" She said closing up the floor. A chakra filled foot sent her flying into the wall. "Sharingan!" She cried trying to figure out what he was doing.

Up above Sasuke's eyes widen and he gripped the bar. 'How? How does she have it? And at such a level and age! She has all three prongs whereas I only just got my second one!' He thought then he remembered Itachi, and how Itachi would always hang around her when she and he was a kid, still do to. The rest of the teams that know her really couldn't help it but gawk at her strength and power. Only five ninja weren't actually surprised. Neji, who taught her some of what she could show, Lee, who taught her most Taijutsu and Gaara, Kakuro and Temari, who had been friends with her ever since she wondered into The Hidden Sand as a child. Temari was actually sending her bouts of encouragement, knowing that Homura didn't really need it, but thinking it would be a nice thing to do.

"Your chakra and eyes will be mine!!" Kabuto screamed, trying to grab her head. "Not today! Or ever you creep!" Homura cried ducking and smashing her foot into his side. 'I need to get rid of the eyes. Look I'm sorry man but what gotta be done, has gotta be done' she thought sighing. She held two kuni out as he advanced again. She threw them with perfectly, each hitting it desired mark. His eyes. "AHHHHH!!!!!! MY EYES!!!! YOU! YOU DESTROYED THEM!!!!" He screamed and hissed as he tried to pull them out but only screamed more. He eventually pulled them out and stood very still. "I can hear you~ come out a pway~" he said mechanicly. Turning to face Homura she saw that the kuni had shattered his glasses and that blood was everywhere. "I would love to repay this debt you've given me... So here I come!!!!!" He screamed, and for the first time in her life, Homura broke down and screamed as he bit into her arm and pushed her down.

The scream echoed throughout the room. It sent chills down everyone's spines, it wasn't one of pain, it was a scream of terror. That scream told everyone in that room, that she wasn't herself anymore. A moment passed before Kabuto was sent flying back and he fell limply to the floor. But Homura's face showed that of pure terror. She was visibly shaking and had tears sparkling at the edge of her eyes. The medic ninja's removed the dead body, as Gaara jumped down and picked her up. Kiba came running down too, he looked at the redhead and they nodded at each other. Her well being was more important at the moment. Strangely enough as soon as Garra transferred her over to Kiba, she fell asleep. Her teammates and Gennin team watched terrified at what had really happened down there. As Kakashi and Ibiki both followed the two boys to the infirmary.

"You have a real scare there Homura-chan" Garra said as said girl finally woke up. "What happen after I lost it?" Homura asked shaking her head. "I lost to Naruto and he won to Rock Lee" Kiba pipped up from his own hospital bed "little wimp knows how to kick ass". She laughed, "yes he does. But I'm still more interested in you and Sasuke. You're up against a sound ninja first round and he looked terrified at the thought" Gaara said standing up "Temari is worried about you. Should I send her in?". "Yeah, yeah. I have no reason to give her a heart attack" Homura said as Gaara open the door to a blonde with four short spiky ponytails. "Homura-chan!! Are you ok?!?!" She asked running up and hugging her. Her two brothers smirked at Homura as she was bombarded with questions and hugs.

"We have a month today to train for the next exam, and you have to train!!! And what was with the mental breakdown on the battlefield?" Temari asked as each persons ears perked at the question. "I... You didn't see what I did.... He had no eyes.... It.. was terrifying" Homura managed to mumble as Gaara wrapped his arm around her back and rubbed her back gently. "I'm sorry I broke down like that but I was genuinely terrified" she managed to mumble again as the door burst open. "HOMURA-CHAN!!! ARE YOU OK?!?!?!?" A blond furry thing screamed running in and engulfing her in a hug. "Naruto? And yeah I'm fine" she said rather shaken. "Oh ok! Why are these guys here?" He growled at Gaara and his team. "Friends! Supporting me in my time if need" she said. "Oh! Well I'm Naruto Uzamaki! Nice to meet you!!!" He cried. "NARUTO!! shut up!" Homura pleaded.
