Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 20

Each Gennin sat in a chair, no where near their teammates. Homura quickly spotted Jūka and Kura she smiled and waved at them, who waved back recognizing the fact she was casting some sort of jutsu. Ibiki quickly explained the rules then cleared his throat and looked Homura dead in the eye. "Just because you have had some sort special treatment by these ninja in the past doesn't mean they will go easy on you here. I repeat if you get caught cheating more than five times you will get chucked" he said as the Chūnin in the room all looked at Homura briefly chuckling. She just smirked and shrugged casing the person to the left of her to stare at her.

To Homura's right was another redhead who chuckled at her carefreeness. She looked around at the sound and recognized the boy as Gaara of the dessert. "Hello Homura. You haven't been to The Sand for a while" he said giving her a look. "Sorry Gaara-Kun! I kinda got busy and last week I was visiting a friend in The Mist" she said rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "It's fine Homura-Chan. I just want to fight you and your Shishigan so don't expect any special treatment from me either" he said as the test started. She nodded and flipped the paper in front of her over.

'The first one is to decode a message' Homura thinks. She quickly answers it and moves on. The questions where getting, supposedly, harder and harder. She could see Naruto struggling and really wanted to help. She finished and relaxed on her seat. She saw Ibiki give her a disapproving glare that she returned with a large smile. She quickly finished the jutsu and the answers appeared onto her teammates pages. They both looked at her in surprise, she just smiled.

Half an hour later Ibiki cleared his throat. "Time for the tenth question!" Be barked catching everyone's attention. "This one has certain rules though. 1. You can choose to not take the question if you don't want to" he said raising a finger. "Hold up! What's the catch? That sounds to good!" A young blonde female ninja, by the name Temari said. "The catch? If you choose not to regardless of the other answers you've given. You fail. 2. If you get it wrong you will never be allowed to ever preform in the Chūnin exams. Ever" Ibiki said many people gasped and Homura wrote something on her page before putting her hand on it. "Knowing that. Does anyone want to give in?" He asked. Not one single person raised their hand. "Are you sure?" He asked a little taken back.

'What did you do Homura?' He thought, as again, no one raised their hand. "Alright! You all pass!" Ibiki said smiling. "What?!?" Naruto asked standing up. Ibiki quickly explained what the real meaning behind the test was ((I'm too lazy so I'm not gonna write it. Use your imagination it's what it's there for)). Suddenly a thing came crashing through the window, throwing Kuni to stick up a banner. "Now listen up you maggots! I am Anko! The second proctor! Now follow me for your next exam!" She shouted. Homura chuckled as Ibiki muttered "you're early. Again". "Oh. Um~ well I'll tell your sensei's what time to meet and where to meet! Until tomorrow!" She said walking out.

Homura walked down to the 44th battle ground. Wearing a simple outfit, ((Photo above)). She had her hair in a ponytail with her fringe out and her headband tied around her arm. Her teammates where thanking her for the test results endlessly. "Seriously! You are a life savor!" Jūka said smiling. Kura just nodded and mumbled thanks. "Alright maggots! Listen here!" Anko shouted as they stopped next to the Rookie Nine. "Before we begin you need to get one of these slips of paper! If you sign one of these you are allowing us to take no responsibility whatsoever if you die or get badly injured. The rules of this is simple. 1. Do not read the scrolls that will be given to you, I'll explain why in a minute. 2. If all three teammates cannot make it to the finish by the end of the time limit you're team is disqualified and 3. This is an all out battle, dirty tricks and scams are allowed!" Anko said holding up the forms. "There is a five day time limit and you have to get these and make to the tower in the middle of the battle field by that time!" She said holding up two scrolls, one had the Heaven symbol on it the other had Earth. "Each team will have one! The goal is to find a team with the other and take them out. So in a way at the best only half of you will make the cut. But there are bloodthirsty beast and poisonous plants. The best will not happen" she said handing everyone a form.

Everyone scattered to read and sign the notes. Homura handed hers in first and smiled at Anko. "That was quite an entrance yesterday Anko-San!" Homura giggled. "Why thank you squirt! I don't think mr. Sadistic was all too pleased though!" Anko laughed back. "So any tips? Or are you just gonna send me in my way?" Homura asked. "Sending you on your way squirt. You ain't getting no love from me today!" Anko said gesturing for her to go away. "Fine. Anko-Chan~" Homura said running off and giggling. "I'll get you for that later! Just you wait!" Anko called after her retreating back. "If you survive that is" she whispered all ready having complete faith that she and her team where getting through her round.
