Naruto: Rewritten

Chapter 8

Naruto ram down the street, covered in scratches and bruises, with a larger boy running after him. "Get back here freak! I'm gonna kill you!" The boy said running faster. Naruto rounded the corner and collided with a young redhead. "What's wrong Naruto? why are you running?" Homura asked helping him up. "Me. And if you don't move I'm gonna hurt you too" the large boy growled as she moved the badly wounded Naruto to behind her. "Leave him alone or I'll make you" she growled back barring her teeth.

"What is going on here?" A rough voice asked. "Itachi-Kun! This meanie is gonna hurt us! Please help!" Homura cried backing herself and Naruto into the corner. "Now listen here Brat. You can leave here, unscratched, and leave them alone or you can leave here wounded and leave them alone" Itachi growled at the boy who ran off. "Thank you Itachi-Kun! I'm gonna take Naruto-kun to the hospital now" Homura said dragging a speechless Naruto in the direction to the hospital.

"Thank you Homura. No-one has ever helped me before" Naruto said as the entered the hospital. "It's fine Naruto now let's get you fixed up" she said dragging him over to the desk. "Excuse me miss. My friend is hurt can you heal him?" Homura asked the lady batting her eyelashes. "Sure thing. I'll call for someone" she said kindly. She walked out and down the halls and coming back later with a healer. "Come this way you two" the healer said beckoning us to follow him.

We walked out two and a half hours later with lollipops and Naruto slightly bandaged. "Hey! Where do you think you are going?" She asked as Naruto turned to leave. "Home... Why?" He asked. "Do you seriously think I'm gonna let you go somewhere alone after that?" She asked grabbing his hand and frowning. "Lead the way. Or you're staying at my place" she said. Naruto slowly started walking in the direction of his home.

They soon made it and Naruto had noticed growls being sent to the person next to him as we'll as himself. "Is it because we where holding hands?" Naruto asked her. "Hm? What do you mean?" She asked. "Why where people growling at you as we'll as me?" He asked dropping the contact between them. "Because they don't like me because I remind them of the past" she said sadly. He remained silent and stared at her. "Well I gotta go see you later" she said turning and running away. Naruto stared at her retreating back and whispered "you're hiding something".

Homura was doing push-ups and sweating profoundly. "My! Such youth! What are you doing here lotus flower?" A cheery voice asked. "Getting used to the metal bands" she replied doing another push-up. "Metal bands? Whose student are you?" The voice asked. "Ikibi-sensei. He will be back soon and maybe he'll teach me a new jutsu" she said standing up and looking up at a spandex-clad, ninja with bright orange leg warmers, massive eye brows and a bowl cut. "Who are you?" She asked slightly taken back by his appearance. "Might Gui! And who are you all-so-youthful one?" he asked giving her the thumbs up. "Homura Nameikaze. Nice to meet you Gui-San" she said holding up her hand. "How old are you?" He asked shaking her hand. "7 turning 8 this year" she said.

"So you'll be joining the academe this year?" He asked. "No next year when I'm turning 9" she said sitting down and staring sit-ups. "Why?" He asked sitting down and joining her. "Because I'd rather join late and be unnoticeable then join around the same time of very powerful ninja and be over-estimated" she said "but don't worry I'm not really, really stupid. I'll get back to my age group soon enough". He nodded and continued doing sit-ups with her. "Why are you doing sit-ups with me Gui-San?" She asked. "Because if someone is working out I always have a need to encourage them or join them!" He said flashing me a blinding smile. She blinked and nodded.

"See you later Gui-Kun! I've gotta get some dinner!" Homura called leaving the training field. "Ok! See you later oh-so-youthful one!" Gui called waving a hand and continuing working out. She rolled her eyes and walked down to a Dango store and ordered a small plate.

Homura walked to the gates fully expecting her sensei to be there. He was. "Hey kid. What you do while I was gone?" Ikibi asked as the walked to a nearby Dango shop. "Helped a friend, got used to these stupid metal bands and met someone" she counted off. "Who?" He asked generally interested. "A guy called Might Gui. He's a little weird" she said as Ikibi laughed "yeah he is". "So are you just gonna treat me to dangoes or is there jutsu too?" She asked as he spat out his drink. "Ohhoho! I'm treating you to dangoes? I believe it's the other way around missy!" He said as she rolled her eyes. "Half and half?" She asked. "Fine and yes New Jutsu" he said rolling his eyes and placing a couple of Ryo on the table as she did the same.

"Alright! Let's get it started then" Homura said pulling her sensei to his feet and dragging him to Training ground 14. "Yeah, yeah" he said, "first give me twenty laps around the field" he said. She began running and complaining around the field.
