chapter 5- kyo's 4th birthday pt.1

Kyo POV

      I woke up to the smell of my favorite breakfast this morning. Omelets with tomatoes! Today is a special day for me. It's the day I was born but it's also the day I lost my birth mom and dad. My parents already told me all about what happened to them and how they think of me and love me just like they do Tachi-Nii and Sasu-Nii. But somedays I get really sadsad trying to think about how my life would have been if they were still here with Obito-Nii too. I wonder what our family would be like and If they would be proud of me. If Obito-Nii would be proud of me. I wouldn't trade my family for anything in the world. I love my mommy and papa. I also love Kashi-Nii, Sushi-Nii, Tachi-Nii, and Sasu-Nii more than anything. I just wish sometimes that I could meet them and maybe know what kind of people they were. But nobody knew my birth parents. Mommy and Papa didn'tdid not know them very well either. The only one who we really knew anything about was Obito-Nii and Kashi-Nii is the only one who knew him. He told me about how he died and all, but I just wish I knew what kind of person he was. But Kashi-Nii said he would tell me everything about him when the time is right. Hopefully that time is soon. I am four today after all what better time is there.

      A knock on my door broke me out of my thoughts. I got out of my bed to answer the door. I opened it and was tackled in a big hug by my mommy and papa. "Happy Birthday my little ray of sunshine!" said mommy. "I can't believe how big you've gotten my little princess" said papa. "Thank you, mommy and papa! And I'm a big girl now papa not little." I said. "Oh, Kyo you will always be my little princess. No matter how big you get." Papa said ruffling my hair. I giggled then papa said "Alright Kyo why don't you get dressed and meet us downstairs for your breakfast. All your brothers are here waiting for you and your mom made your favorite.". "I know I can smell it from here! WAIT did you say ALL my brothers? Even sushi and kashi!? I'll be there in a minute!" I responded. With that Papa left the room. "So Kyo whose shirt are you wearing this time?" asked mommy. "This is one of Kashi's shirts. I wore it so maybe today he will tell me all about Obito-Nii. I mean because kashihe is my brother and I love him." I answered with a smile. Whoops that was close. Saved it! Mommy just giggled and said "When did you get one of his shirts? Do you have one of Shisui's as well?". "Yeah mommy! I stole it from him the last time I saw him and of course I have one of sushi's. I have one from each of my brothers. It makes me feel safe and protected when I sleep just like they all do.". "Well, they are all waiting for you downstairs and I'm sure if you tell them that they will tell you whatever you want today. It'sIt is sure to make their hearts melt. Now hurry up and get dressed or else they will eat all your food." Mommy said with a laugh. "Okay mommy I'll be quick I WILL NOT let them eat everything AGAIN.".

       Hehehe. I have a plan. I am determined to get Kashi to tell me all about Obito today. Here's how I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna go downstairs in the shirt I stole from him with my black leggings on and say I was too excited and forgot to get ready. If it goes like mommy said it will. Kashi will tell me whatever I want to know. Simple right? Okay Kyo its go time. After waiting about 2 minutes after mommy left, I opened my door and closed it a little loud to announce my presence so now they know I'm up and coming down. I made sure to also go down the stairs loud too. I get down the stairs and walk into the kitchen where I hear everyone talking only to be tackled into another hug from one of my brothers. But which one? Who knows.knows? I couldn't see who it was. Maybe it's Kashi and my master plan is already working.

       "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIKI!" Oh, it's Sasu. Not Kashi but I got just as excited. "Thank you Sasu! I love you" I responded and hugged him back just as tight. I try to tell my brothers that I love them every chance I get because you never know what could happen. "I love you too kiki" said sasuke. Kiki is sasuke's nickname for me. All my brothers have nicknames for me just like I do for them. Kashi calls me little one. Sushi calls me munchkin. Tachi calls me princess. Sasu calls me Kiki. I wonder what Obito's nickname for me would be. Another hug broke me from my thoughts, and it was Kashi. SCORE! "Happy birthday little one! Is that my shirt?" said Kashi. "Why yes Kashi this is your shirt" I answered with a smile. Kashi had a big smile on his face after I said that.

       Well, you couldn't really tell with that dumb mask of his but when you are as close as we are you could tell. "AW RATS" "Dang that means I lost" "me too! And I said I love you and everything" I heard Sushi, Tachi, and Sasu say. "Lost? Lost what?" I asked. I looked over and saw mommy and papa giggling. Well mommy was giggling papa just had a straight faceface, but I saw a light smile. "Yep, and that means I won. You see little one before you came downstairs, we all tried to guess whose shirt you would be wearing today and you're wearing mine, so I won." Kashi said. I sweat dropped. Darn looks like I'm not the only one who had a master plan. "Say Kyo why do you wear their shirts to sleep? You might have told me, but it seemed to have slipped my mind." Said mommy with a wink. Ah so she understands and is trying to help me. YES! "Well mommy, I wear my brother's shirts to sleep because it makes me feel safe and protected just like they do." I responded. "So that means I make you feel safe and protected?" asked Kashi. Perfect he's fallen into my trap. Hook line and sinker. Nice one mom. "Yup!" "Aww little one! You have no idea how much that means to me". Kashi said while hugging me. "Anything to make you guys happy" I responded. "Alright, alright enough of the mushy stuff. Kyo go get dressed so we can eat breakfast together. Then we can get the day started." Said papa. Great just when I was getting ready to ask him about Obito. "Okay papa! I'll be right back.". I guess I'll just have to ask him later.

Kakashi POV

When Kyo said that I make her feel safe and protected it melted my heart. That little girl is probably the most precious person I have, and I would do anything to make her happy. I love my little sister so much. But she isn't that slick. I saw what she was doing. I know she meant every word she said but I have a hunch that she has ulterior motives. I was broken out of my thoughts when Sasuke said "So did you get it?". "Yeah, I got it. I hope she likes it. It took me forever to find." "What did you guys get her?" asked Mikoto. Itachi was about to answer when Shisui shushed him and said, "That little munchkin could still be listening be quiet". Then Itachi got up and whispered it to her. "Aww boys! That is so sweet I can tell you right now that she will absolutely love it!" said Mikoto. "What did they get her?" asked Fugaku. Mikoto then whispered it to him. "That is very nice of you all we appreciate the effort you guys are putting in for Kyo". Said Fugaku. "So, who is the mastermind behind it?" asked Mikoto. "Well, we all sat down and tried to figure out what to get her and Sasuke reminded us of how Kyo loves all of us very much and we all wanted to do something to return that love to her." Said Itachi. "So, it was really my idea mother" said Sasuke. "Yeah, Yeah Sasuke. Kakashi has to do the most work though." Said Shisui. "You do?" asked Mikoto. "Yes. I had to find what we put inside of it and I'm going to be the one who explains it to her." I answered. "Ah. So today is the day huh? You're going to tell her about him." Said Fugaku. "Yes sir. Today is the day where I tell kyo about her big brother Obito" I answered. I only hope I can do him justice.
