chapter 7- kyo's 4th birthday pt.3- Itachi

After I got back downstairs, I saw Tachi taking his shoes off. "Tachi-Nii! You're home!" "Yes, princess I came to get you so we can spend some time together for your birthday. Now let me change really quick and then we can go okay?" "Okay Tachi!" It took Tachi about 5 minutes to change and after that we went outside. He then bent down and said, "Hop on princess". He knows piggyback rides are my favorite, so I got excited and jumped on him. He then laughed and reached over and poked my forehead. Then I giggled and poked his forehead back.

Tachi and I have a really close relationship. I am really close with all my brothers, but people say that Itachi and I are the closest because of his personality. Kashi is kind of the same way. They are both pretty closed off people unlike Shisui who is outgoing. Sasuke is starting to be more closed off as we get older like Itachi and Kakashi but I'm not too worried about that. People say that there isn't anyone who knows Itachi better than me. Which is true I notice all his personality quirks and I can always tell what kind of mood he is in. "So Tachi-Nii what are we going to do?" I asked.

"I was thinking we could just walk around the village and then get a snack before I get you your present. How does that sound?" he responded. So Tachi got me an extra present too hmm. "That sounds fun, but I thought I was getting my present from you guys later." I said. "You are but I just wanted to get you something that is just between us." Tachi said. "Okay Tachi." I said. Then I giggled and said "Giddy-up Niisan! Let's go already!". He then laughed and started walking towards the center of the village. He stopped in front of the Hokage faces and asked me if I knew who they were. "Of course, I do Tachi. Those are the older Hokages. They are supposed to be the best ninja in the leaf, but I know they aren't." I said. "What? Well, if they aren't who is? You know the Hokage are the strongest." Tachi said. "You are Tachi. You are the strongest ninja in the village. At least in my eyes you are. Kashi and Sushi too. And Sasu and I are gonna be super strong too right?" I asked. Tachi looked a little shocked by what I said but then he laughed it off and said "Yes princess. You are Sasuke are going to be super duper strong one day. Maybe even stronger than me.". "What! No way. You really think so?" "I don't think so. I know so.". Woah Tachi-Nii is so cool. He is so smart and always says the coolest things. "Well, if you say so Tachi. Then I guess I believe you." I said.

After a little more walking and saying hello to people in the village, Tachi started walking to our favorite dango shop with me still on his back. We got it for free there too because the man who works there knows it's my birthday. Just like earlier with Sasu! Getting dango is something that Tachi and I do a lot. Sasu does not really like it because sweets aren't his thing which is fine because that means more for us. After we got our dango Tachi walked us back to the dock in our compound.

Some people said hello and others gave me dirty looks. I'm used to it by now though. They don't really like me because of Obito-Nii. Something about him being the black sheep of the clan and because I'm his sister they think I'll be that way too. It really makes me mad when they say bad things about him because that's MY brother. I was broken out of my thoughts when Tachi put me down and I realized we reached the dock. We then sat down and Tachi seemed to notice my sad face because he said, "Why the long face birthday girl?". "It's nothing really. I just saw some people in the compound giving me those looks again. But I've gotten used to it now so it's nothing to worry about." I replied. Tachi then burrowed his eyebrows and pulled me into a hug and said "Don't worry princess I won't let them hurt you okay. You can always count on me, your big brother Itachi to be there to protect you okay?". "okay Tachi thanks." I said with a smile. Then Tachi smiled back and pulled something out of his pocket. It was a small bracelet. "Happy birthday Kyo. I got this for you. Look I have one just like it." He said. Then he showed me he was wearing the same one on his wrist. But mine was glowing. Which I thought was weird.

"Wow thanks Tachi-Nii! Now we match. But why is mine glowing and yours isn't?" I asked.

"Yours is glowing because I put some of my chakra in it. I know how worried you get whenever one of us goes on missions so I got you this so you will know I'm safe whenever I am not with you. When you get bigger and learn how to use chakra, you can put some of yours in mine so I can always know you're safe when we are apart.". he answered. "WOW Tachi this is so cool! Thank you so much I love it and you so much!" I said tackling him in the tightest hug I could give. "I love you more Kyo. I want you to know that I will always love you and do my best to keep you safe and protected just like our shirts do at night." Tachi said. "You're the best Tachi!" I said with a giggle. Tachi just smiled and said "Now why don't you take a little nap before Shisui gets here. I have a feeling whatever he has planned for you will be active.". "Okay Tachi. I am little sleepy." I said rubbing my eyes. Next thing I knew I was out like a light using Tachi as a pillow.

Itachi POV

    As soon as I suggested she sleep for a while Kyo was out like a light. Sleeping in my lap with her head on my chest and tiny little hands gripping my shirt tightly. Earlier when she said that she thinks I am the strongest ninja in the village, I never felt surer of myself and my capabilities. I looked down at the sleeping angel in my arms. My little sister is one of the most precious people I have in my heart. She takes a big chunk of it too. Everything I do is to protect my little siblings and I will continue to do everything with you in mind little princess. I hope you continue to have faith in me because that is what fuels my strength. I then bent my head down and kissed the top of her head and whispered "I love you so much Kyo. Stay this little princess for as long as you can". I think she heard me because she gripped my shirt even tighter. Yup I woke her up. "I love you so much too Itachi." She whispered back. "Sorry princess I didn't mean to wake you." "It's okay Tachi. I'm all rested and ready to go now." She said with that big bright smile of hers. "Okay then let's head back home so you can spend time with Shisui. You have everything?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm ready". "Okay up you go." I said putting her on my back.

She started giggling but then got quiet when we walked back into the compound. I noticed people were looking at her rudely again, so I adjusted her, so she was in my arms and covered her eyes and said "Don't worry Kyo I won't let them hurt you. Just hold on a little longer we are almost home okay?". "Okay Tachi." She replied in a small voice. It just makes my blood boil when they look at her that way. Something needs to be done about that.

Kyo POV

    We finally made it back to the compound and I ran straight upstairs to the bathroom because I needed to use it. REALLY BAD. When I was all done, I was in the kitchen getting some water when there was a knock on the door. Mommy opened it and then I heard "Where's my little munchkin? Doesn't the birthday girl want to spend some time with her big brother Sushi.". Mommy just laughed and led him to the kitchen. "Here I am Sushi!" I said. "Oh, thank goodness I thought I got lost or something." Sushi said with a laugh while picking me up and hugging me. "You're so silly sushi" I laughed and returned the hug. He then put me down and held out his hand and said, "You ready to go munchkin?". "I sure am Sushi." "Alright let's get a move on then. Say bye to your mommy and Itachi." "Bye mommy! Bye Tachi! See you later!" With that I took his hand, and we left the house. I wonder what Sushi has planned for me now. Whatever it is I'm excited. It's always fun when he is around.
