The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 28 - Tachi time

Kyo POV

I woke up feeling sore from all the training I did with uncle Tenzo last week. Today is the start of a new week which means a new trainer for me. I know it's going to be one of my older brothers but I don't know which one. There was a knock on my door.

"You can come in" I said.

Pa- Father opened the door and i stood up from my bed and said "Good Morning Father".

He nodded at me and said "Our lesson for today will start soon so i suggest you get dressed and eat your breakfast Kyo.".

I nodded back and then asked "Father, do you know who my new trainer will be this week?".

"Itachi will be training you this week on the sharingan and the fundamentals of genjutsu so give him your best effort when it's time."

"Don't worry father I will."

Ever since our first lesson started, Father has been treating me differently. He's been a lot more of a meanie and giving me looks like he's mad at me or something. Whatever it is, I don't like it. Sasuke said that he gets those looks from him too but Itachi gets them the worst. Maybe when we start training I'll ask him why father is acting this way. I haven't seen Itachi in a while, he's been really busy with missions lately. He comes home super late and leaves super early. Sasuke and I have tried staying up and waiting for him but we haven't been able to see him yet. But we do always end up in our beds somehow.

After Father left my room I made my bed and went to the kitchen to eat my breakfast before training. I saw Itachi sitting at the table with Father. Mother was walking Sasuke to the academy so it was just us 3.

My eyes lit up at the sight of Itachi and I started to run over to him but I saw father looking at me so I stopped and said good morning to Itachi as I do father. Itachi looked at me a bit confused and then looked between father and I, and then he started glaring at father.

It was a quiet breakfast, like it usually was with father around, until Itachi started talking to me.

"So Princess, how has your training been going?" asked Itachi.

I smiled at him and said "I started training with Uncle Tenzo last week with my wood style and when we first started I could only make twigs but now I can make really big pieces of wood.".

"Itachi, you haven't been here much because of your missions but I've told Kyo that since she has started her ninja journey she should start to grow up a bit and you and the others calling her silly nicknames all the time prevents her from doing so. So call her by her name." said Father.

I frowned down at my food on my plate. I don't understand why my father is being this way. I mean yeah I am starting my ninja journey but I'm still only 4. I'm gonna be 5 in a few weeks and starting the academy but I don't know why that means my brothers can't call me by the nicknames they gave me.

Itachi and father had what looked like a staring contest with their angry eyes and then Itachi said "Fine as you wish."

Then he looked at me and said "That's very good Kyo. What else have you learned?".

"Uncle Tenzo and Kashi also helped me with my chakra control and now I can walk up trees AND I can walk on water!!" I said excitedly.

"Kyo, the nickname thing goes for you as well" said father.

I sighed and said "Tenzo sensei and kakashi helped me with chakra control so now I can walk on trees and water."

Itachi then looked at me with a smile and said "Wow Kyo i'm impressed. I don't know any 4 year olds that can do those things. You should be proud of yourself. I know I am anyways."
