The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 15 - unexpected guest

3rd POV

Its been a total of 2 days that Kyo has been missing from the village. Its been a total of 2 days since Kakashi's ANBU team and Shisui had left to find her and they had no luck so far. Kakashi had his whole pack of ninken searching for her scent for hours. He has told them they could stop and rest a bit but they all refused. "Kyo is apart of our family too you know. She's the little pup and none of us are going to stop until we find her right guys?" said Pakkun. "Hai!" they all responded. Itachi, Shisui, and Kakashi were touched that the pack had thought so highly of their sister and it only increased their drive to find her.

"Alright then let's keep moving everyone!" said Kakashi. So that's what they did and Kyo's 3 brothers were more determined than ever to find her.

-Meanwhile in the Leaf Village-

News of Kyo's capture spread through the village like rapid fire. Some reacted one way and some reacted another. The Uchiha clan did not seem to mind the little girl's disappearance. It was no secret that they didn't like her because of her biological family's status. They figured she would end up a traitor and desert them like her parents. Or a screwup like her brother Obito. The clan was instructed to keep their eyes peeled for any trace of Kyo at all times.  Fugaku was still at home furious that his daughter had not been found but did his best to keep his cool. Mikoto was very anxious and worried about her little girl and just wanted her to be safe.

Sasuke has woken up the previous night and instantly asked about Kyo's whereabouts. His mother related the events of her capture to him and he did not take it well. He was freaking out and asking his mom when she will be back and if she was alright but he knew she had no answers. She had told him that Itachi, Shisui, and Kakashi were out looking for her and they promised to bring her home.

Sasuke trusts his brother with his life and wants to believe that Kyo will be home soon but a part of him feels like this was his fault. He felt guilty he couldn't protect his little sister. After a very long and hard cry with his mother Sasuke had calmed down and made himself a promise. That he would never let something like this happen ever again and that one day he will kill whoever took his sister from him. He told himself that he would get stronger, strong enough to protect his sister no matter what the cost.

Kyo's friends were scared for her too. Shikamaru and Choji had come over in the morning to ask if Kyo could come play with them but they were told she wasn't home and that they should play without her. Neither of the 2 boys liked that idea at all but if she wasn't home she wasn't home. They later learned the truth from Naruto who they had run into at Ichiraku Ramen and they instantly ran home to tell/cry to their parents.

Shikaku was very concerned because he had known Kyo for almost as long as she had been alive and she would come and play with his son loads of times so he had grown to care for the little girl. He made his way over to the Uchiha complex and offered his assistance to Fugaku in order to find her. Fugaku appreciated it but told Shikaku that he was on top of it and had a team out looking for her at that moment.

The 3rd Hokage was anxiously waiting for any type of development on Kyo's absence and his nerves were starting to affect him. He was so distracted by his own thoughts that he hadn't noticed his son Asuma walking through the door.

"Hey old man have you seen Kakashi anywhere lately? He was supposed to bring Kyo over so we could get some BBQ and have 'uncle and niece time' but I can't find him." Said Asuma.  Sarutobi's heart clenched at his sons words and he turned his head to look at him with sadness in his eyes. Asuma knew that look and figured something was wrong so he asked. "What's the matter? Has something happened?". Sarutboi sighed.

He knew his son was not going to take this well. He then explained to Asuma what had happened to Kyo. To say he was furious was an understatement. "WHAT!? HAVE YOU SENT A TEAM TO LOOK FOR HER!" he yelled. The 3rd Hokage then told him that her brothers were after her but they haven't sent word on their progress yet. "Let me go too. I want to help bring her home." Said Asuma. "The team I have sent are very capable and I trust that they will succeed in bringing her home safe and sound. I also do not want word of this to spread to other villages. They take advantage and try to find her themselves to steal her eyes." Responded Sarutobi. After some more arguing Asuma had finally calmed down and left his dad's office.
