chapter 27 - you can call me tenzo

3rd POV

Kyo woke up the next morning bright and early nervous but ready to meet her trainer. Kakashi was coming to take her to the training fields to meet her trainer and watch over her.

After getting dressed Kyo went down to get some breakfast and greet her family.
When she got to the table she only saw Itachi and her mother.

"Good morning mommy! Good morning Tachi!" said Kyo as she went to hug her family. She was hoping they wouldn't reject her like her father did. Thankfully, they didn't and they both gave Kyo big hugs.

"Father told me you're starting your first physical ninja training today for your wood style. How are you feeling?" asked Itachi.

"I'm excited but I'm also nervous. I don't want to hurt anybody like i have when i used it the last couple times." responded Kyo.

"Don't worry about that princess. I know you're going to do well no matter what and Kakashi tells me that you are in very good hands with your trainer. He was actually with us when we rescued you so you've seen him before even if you haven't met him."

"Oh he was there? Thats good i think."

"Oh my baby girl is starting her ninja days, this is so exciting!" said Mikoto.

Itachi and Kyo both smiled at their mother, happy to see her excited about Kyo's training.

"I packed your backpack with everything i think you're gonna need. First aid kit, lots of water, lots of snacks, a jacket if you get cold, a fan if you get hot, and the ninja tool set your father and i got you for your birthday." said Mikoto.

"Thank you mommy! I hope you put a lot of snacks in there because you know how serious I am about my snacks."

"Yes dear I know thats what makes you and Choji such good friends his mother and i find it adorable.
Itachi's smile only grew watching his mother and little sister talk to each other. He started to think about how much he cherished the women in his life and tried his best to remember this moment so that he can think back on it fondly. His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door.

"Oh that must be kakashi here for Kyo. Itachi honey, do you mind getting it? I'm gonna do Kyo's hair really quick before she leaves." said Mikoto.

Itachi nodded and went to the door.

Kyo always loved when her mother did her hair. Something about it really calmed her down and made her feel safe. Maybe it was because it was her mother or because of her soft touch but Kyo felt as if she was at utmost peace when her mother did her hair. It was one of her favorite things.

Kyo had her eyes closed, relaxing into her mothers touch when she heard Kakashi's voice.

"Hey there little one how are you feeling? Ready for today?" he asked.

"Right now I feel really good because moms doing my hair. But i'm excited for training today. You're gonna be there right?" asked kyo

"Yes i'll be there with you watching to make sure you're okay."

"Itachi says you're familiar with her trainer kakashi?" asked Mikoto.

"Yes, I've worked with him on quite a few missions and we've trained together often. Hes a very nice guy and a strong ninja." answered kakashi.

Mikoto then finished putting Kyo's hair into pigtails and clipping her bangs out of her face.

"Okay baby let me see."

"Mommmmmm"kyo groaned

"No fussing, let me look at your beautiful face."
Mikoto then cupped kyo's little face with both her hands and smiled.
