The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 24 - what now?

Kyo was standing there looking at the bewildered faces of her family and the Hokage waiting to hear what they had to say and what they would do next. She could tell that they were all surprised that she could do all that she did at such a young age but the longer they stared at her the more uncomfortable she got. So with a somewhat scared expression on her face, she ran to her dear older brother Shisui for comfort and hid behind him.

Shisui picked her up and held her on his waist which prompted her to hide her face in his neck. "I think the long stares from us all are making Kyo a bit uncomfortable so maybe we should collect ourselves and give kyo here another break before you give your thoughts. How does that sound munchkin?"

Kyo looked up at her beloved big brother and nodded her head vigorously. Kyo was thankful that even without the ability to speak her brothers understood her.

"That's a grand idea Shisui. Why don't you, Itachi, and Kakashi take your sister to get a sweet treat while I speak with her father and go over the results with him and well all gather together again in a few days." Said the Hokage.

With a unified nod and bow the 3 of them took their sister to treat her to something sweet.

3 days later

Kyo was currently at the playground with her brothers Sasuke and Itachi, and she had run into a few of their other friends including a certain blonde knucklehead. When she saw him, she ran as fast as she could to give him a hug and ended up tackling him to the ground and as soon as Naruto realized who she was when they got up he just tackled her to the ground again in another hug.

Naruto was very concerned for kyo and really hoped she would be okay. Seeing her at the playground was like an answer to his prayers.

"Kyo-chan!!!! Where have you been? Are you okay? I missed you! How are you?" he yelled. Kyo looked at him with a soft smile and was a bit sad she couldn't answer any of his questions. It was then he remembered that her brother had rudely told him that she couldn't talk and said "Oh wait I remembered you can't talk. It's okay! We can still play and have fun!". This made the smile on kyo's face 10 times brighter and then she taped his shoulder as if to say he was "it" and ran off with a smile. Understanding what she meant Naruto yelled "I'm gonna get you kyo!" and chased after her with a huge smile.

Itachi was sitting on a bench watching his little siblings play together with their friends with a smile. Kyo and Naruto in particular. He didn't know what it was about them, but he really enjoyed watching those two together. Sasuke thought it was silly that she was friends with him, but Itachi told him that feeling would pass which made Sasuke scowl at him and run off back to the playground.

A few hours went by when Sasuke and Naruto were having a competition to see who could climb up to the top of the jungle gym the fastest and kyo was to be the judge. It took them a few tries to get up without falling and having to start over but as soon as Sasuke was able to do it successfully it was naruto's turn. Naruto was able to make it to the top and while he was celebrating his success Sasuke leaned over towards his sister and said, "I bet you he falls off". Kyo smiled at him a shrugged her shoulders as if to say well see.

Seconds later Naruto's hoorays turned into uh ohs when he lost his balance and fell off the top and landed face first on the floor. Sasuke was laughing and kyo was covering her mouth fighting her own laughter. Itachi came over to see if Naruto was okay and after he confirmed that Naruto was fine is when kyo lost it and started laughing.

Loudly.

She was so caught up in her own laughter that she didn't realize that she was indeed laughing. With her voice. It wasn't until her brothers and her friend looked at her with shocked faces that she realized sound was coming out of her mouth. As soon as it clicked in her brain she stopped laughing and looked at her brothers and Naruto.

"Kyo princess were you just laughing?" asked Itachi. "Kiki is your voice back?" asked Sasuke.

As soon as kyo was about to answer Naruto attempted to stand which ended with him falling over again. Kyo then started to laugh again which caused the 3 boys to smile widely at kyo. Her voice had come back. Naruto didn't even care that he had scraped his knee. He was just so happy that his friend had her voice back. Kyo ran over to Naruto and hugged him really tight.

"Naruto, I got my voice back! You don't know how hard it was for me not being able to talk to anyone for so long, there's so much I want to tell everyone about everything. I missed you so much- NARUTO YOU'RE BLEEDING" exclaimed Kyo.

"Oh this? It doesn't even hurt. I'm just really glad your voice is okay and you can talk again! Now we can play together all the time." He responded.

"Actually, princess I think its rather important we let father and the Hokage know about this as soon as possible." Said Itachi.

"Yeah, lets go tell our parents kiki!" said Sasuke.

Kyo said OKAY to her brothers but then looked at Naruto and said, "I never got to tell you thank you for trying to save me and Sasuke. That was really brave and I'm so glad that we're friends.". Then she gave him another hug and smiled then ran off to her brothers to go tell everyone the good news.

Kyo Uchiha's voice has returned, and boy did she have a lot to say.
