The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 18 - rescue pt.1

Kyo POV

Its been about a day since I... since I killed those people and ive just been resting with Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo. Ever since these experiments started I'm a lot more tired than I used to be so I take naps whenever I can. I think I'm gonna take a nap and maybe talk to romo and try to calm down and prepare for whatever nightmares are going to come. My 3 friends were talking but I wasn't listening to what they were saying. I was too caught up in my own horrifying thoughts to pay attention.

3rd POV

While Kyo was zoned out and being absorbed in her own thoughts, her 3 friends were busy trying to come up with a plan for getting kyo out of Orochimaru's clutches. "H-Hey guys" said kyo quietly. Ever since Kyo came back into the room with Orochimaru she's been having some trouble speaking.  The 3 other kids in the room immediately look at their friend with a worried gaze. "I t-think I'm going to try and s-sleep for a bit." Said Kyo.

They all looked at each other and nodded at Kyo. Jugo walked over to kyo and sat next to her against the wall while she was dozing off. Kyo started to lean forward in her sleep and Jugo reached out and grabbed her before she could fall and laid her against his side and her head on his shoulder. Kyo subconsciously grabbed onto Jugo's shirt and held onto it in her sleep.

Suigetsu, Karin, and Jugo watched their friend sleep and they all noticed how peaceful her face looked when she was asleep. Like all of the previous pain she has been in was erased from her face. She looked like an actual 4 year old instead of the center of Orochimaru's experiments. They all had faith that Kyo would be okay though. They've all come to know and care about kyo during this whole ordeal and they can tell that kyo isn't one to stay knocked down.

They had full confidence that soon kyo would be back to her normal cheerful self soon enough. But for now they had to focus on getting her out of there.

"Alright boys we need to come up with a plan to get kyo out of here. You guys hear her at night, she keeps saying those names in her sleep. Sasuke. Itachi. Shisui. Kakashi. Obito. I have no clue who those people are, but I think they are her brothers. There is no hope for the 3 of us. None of us have anyone to go back to, but she does. Her family. So we have to get her back to them. So she can live the life we will never get to. If anyone deserves it it's Kyo." Said Karin

"I agree. But what are we gonna do. I'm gonna miss her so much. It won't be the same here without her." Said Suigetsu. "I'm gonna miss her too. We all are but she can't just stay here because we want her to or else she could be in more danger." Said Jugo quietly mindful of the sleeping kyo on his shoulder.

"So we have to save her before these experiments get worse and Kyo has to go through that intense training Orochimaru talked about." Said Suigetsu. "He said that she had 2 days to rest until she had to do that training yesterday so she only has one day left. We have to get her out during that time." Said Jugo. "But how? Do you guys have any ideas because I have none." Said suigetsu.

He turned his head to look at his sleeping friend. Suigetsu was particularly sad about Kyo leaving. He's never had much human interaction besides Karin, Jugo, Kabuto, and Orochimaru. But most of those encounters had always been negative ones. Until recently when Kyo was thrown into their lives. He couldn't lie he was much happier with her here. She brought a sense of happiness and normalcy that none of these kids had experienced much and they were truly sad to see her go.

"What if..... what if we never see her again?" asked Suigetsu sadly. Now all 3 kids were looking at a sleeping Kyo with sadness in their eyes. None of them had really thought about that. Not seeing Kyo ever again. It hurt them to even think about it. She was special to each of them for different reasons.
