The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 3- family

3rd POV

              After the very tiring successful mission Kakashi, Shisui, and Itachi were making their way back to the leaf when they heard what sounded like a baby crying. "Guys wait is that a baby?" said Shisui. "I don't know let's check it out." Said Kakashi. "alright" said Shisui and Itachi. Soon they had found little Kyo wrapped in her Uchiha crest blanket which shocked the 3 Konoha ninjas. That is the cutest face I have ever seen in my life. This baby is so precious. How could someone leave her here all by herself? I hope we can keep her. Wait what is that? Thought Shisui. "Aww how cute is she! Wait is that the Uchiha crest?" said Shisui picking her up. "It is. So, she is a Uchiha. But there are no known Uchiha living outside of Konoha. How did she get here?" said Itachi. This poor innocent child. How could something like this happen? She is about the smallest, cutest thing I have seen since sasuke was born last year. Hopefully, we can take her with us. Especially if she is a Uchiha. Thought itachi. "I don't know but we can't just leave her here. She could get hurt or worse. Let's take her with us back to the village. The Hokage will know what to do. They can keep her in the hospital and find out who she is and what to do with her." Said Kakashi. Truth is Kakashi was just as curious and interested in this baby as Shisui and Itachi was, but he would not dare show it. Look at her tiny little face. Poor helpless baby. Hopefully the Hokage will make sure she is okay and allow her to stay in the village since she seems to be a Uchiha. Maybe she can live with Shisui or Itachi's family. Thought Kakashi. Then Itachi picked her up and they continued their path to the leaf village.

              After arriving in the village, all 3 ninjas went straight to the Hokage to let him know about Kyo. After Kakashi knocked on the door a small "enter" was heard from the other side. All three Ninjas entered with Kyo in Itachi's arms. They were surprised to see Fugaku Uchiha inside talking to the Hokage. "Sorry Lord Third, we don't mean to interrupt but we are here to report on our mission and this baby we found outside the leaf wrapped in clothes and a blanket. Both with the Uchiha crest. It seems her name is Kyo as it says on her blanket, but we have no information on where she came from. We brought her here in hopes that we could see what to do with her." Said Kakashi. "An Uchiha baby?!" said Fugaku. "Yes father" said Itachi. "She was found outside the village you say?" said the Hokage. "Yes. We found her on our way back from our mission that was near the Village Hidden in the Sand." Said Shisui. "I see. Suna. Hmmm. It sounds like that is where she came from. By the looks of her it seems like she was just born so why don't you three take her to the hospital while I figure something out." Said the Hokage. "Yes sir" said the three ninjas. Yes! She can stay at least for now anyway the three ninjas thought.

     After they were sure the boys have left Fugaku said "She must be the daughter of Fukiana and Heikin if she was found near the sand. If she made it all the way here something must have happened to her parents." Fugaku and the Hokage were the only adults aware of the two Uchihas whereabouts. Being the head of the clan and the Hokage. "I was thinking the same thing. I would like to keep her here in the village. It is her home after all. But her only other relative Obito Uchiha is no longer with us as well. I don't know where we can put her." Said the Hokage. "What if Mikoto and I take her? We always wanted a girl. We can adopt her and raise her as our own. I am sure Itachi and Sasuke won't mind. I am sure Shisui and Kakashi would be happy to have her here as well. You saw the looks on their faces when you said to take her to the hospital." Said Fugaku. "Are you sure Fugaku? Are you willing to take her and treat her as if she is your own?" asked the Hokage. "I am positive little Kyo would make a great addition to our family. We need someone to keep our sons in check." Fugaku said with a smile. "Okay that is great. How about since she is spending the night in the hospital you talk it over with your wife and children and then come tell me the result in the morning." Said the Hokage. "Yes sir. Thank you so much!" said Fugaku. That little girl would be perfect for us. She is so cute, and I can tell that she will grow up to be a great person. She will also need people who will love and care for her and who better than us to do so. Thought Fugaku. This child is just what the Uchiha need. She could be the one to keep them from the darkness and bring light into her family and this village. She may have just been born but I can sense she has a kind heart. She would make a great asset to this village and its people. Thought the Hokage.

      Fugaku then rushed home to find an anxious wife, Itachi, Shisui, and Kakashi. They were all sitting down talking about their mission and Kyo. "Welcome Home Honey! These three were just telling me about the cutest baby they have ever seen they found on their mission. Did you see her?" said Mikoto. "Good evening! Yes, I was talking with the Hokage when they brought her in. That's actually something I wanted to talk to you about." Replied Fugaku. "Boys if you don't mind, this is a private matter. Thank you for keeping my family company and good job on your mission." Said fugaku to Shisui and Kakashi. "We understand. Have a good night sir." Said Kakashi. Then they both gave a bow of respect and left.

       After they left Mikoto said "What is it you want to talk about?". "The baby is the daughter or Fukiana and Heikin. Her name is Kyo Uchiha and she was born today. The Hokage was having trouble figuring out what to do with her because it seems that something has happened to her parents and her other sibling, Obito, is no longer with us. So, I suggested that we take her. We can adopt her and raise her as our own along with Itachi and Sasuke. We did always say we wanted a daughter, and someone is going to have to keep our boys in check. What do you think?" said Fugaku. This left Mikoto shocked but very happy. This was very out of character for her husband. He was never so passionate about something like this before. But according to the three ninjas that is just the affect this little girl has on everyone. This also left a shocked but extremely happy Itachi. He was going to have another little sibling to take care of. Wait until Shisui and Kakashi hear about this thought Itachi. Then Mikoto jumped up and tackled her husband in a hug and said "I think that's a great idea! We are going to have our own little girl. I want to meet her first before we sign the adoption papers, but I am all for it. It's such a shame that she has lost everything on the same day she was born but let's make her life with us a happy one to make up for it.". Then Itachi got a little too excited and said "Yes! You hear that sasuke we are going to have a little sister" a little louder than he expected to which just made his parents laugh and hug both of their boys. This made 1 year old sasuke coo in agreement with a smile on his face.

         After a quick visit to baby Kyo in the hospital the Uchiha family went to the Hokage and signed the adoption papers which made Itachi and even little Sasuke very happy. When they brought her home Itachi helped his father make the guest room into a room for Kyo. "For now, she is going to have to share with her big brother Sasuke until we buy her things of her own." Said Mikoto. This was fine with Sasuke. That night Kyo and Sasuke slept in the same crib and sasuke ended up snuggling her to him in a protective way. "Looks like he approves" Fugaku said with a laugh. Later that night Itachi went to check on his little siblings and found them snuggling next to each other asleep. I now have another precious life I must protect. I promise you Kyo that I will be the best big brother to you that I can be. I promise to love and protect you always. Along with Sasuke you are now the number 1 priority in my life. Thought Itachi. He then planted soft kisses on both of his sibling's foreheads and said "I love you both with all my heart. Sleep well and I will see you in the morning. Ototo and Imoto.".
