The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 38- the calm

Its been a few weeks since kyo talked to Itachi and Shisui about her concerns and despite her brother's words, things have gotten worse. She had just finished a mission with Asuma and they were both in the hokage's office giving their report when there was a knock on the door.

Before Hiruzen could respond the door was opened and Danzo had let himself in. Kyo and Asuma turned around to see who just walked in and scowled at Danzo. They both have their reasons for not liking him. Asuma's being the fact that Danzo is very against the 3rd Hokage, his father, and Kyo's being the sheer chill she gets on her spine whenever he is near her along with Itachi and Kakashi telling her to stay away from him.

"Sarutobi I need that- my my look at who we have here. Little miss Kyo and Young Sarutobi." said Danzo.

Once danzo had made his presence known he had started to give that strange look to kyo.

Kyo grimaced under his gaze.

"Ugh theres that look again. Whats this guy's issue?"

I dont know but please do your best to stay clear of him. I can tell his intentions are not good

"Trust me romo in no way am i getting involved with that guy"

Asuma was able to pick up on that look as well.

"Why is he looking at kyo like that? I don't like it. Its kinda gross." thought Asuma.

"Kyo i've been meaning to talk to you about something. I know you are just a genin, working under the Hokage, but i think my forces would be a much better place for you. We could use a ninja with talents like yours. Theres a spot for you in the foundation. You would do great things there and it would be directly under my.. Leadership" said Danzo.

Asuma and Hiruzen were furious that he just waltzed in here and tried to recruit kyo into his emotionless cult. There was no way either of them were going to let this slide.

"Danzo you cannot just walk in here and make offers like that as you please. Kyo is currently working with me and I have no intention of letting her go anytime soon." said Hiruzen.

"Yes she does work under you and your grip on her doesn't seem fair." said Danzo.

"To who? Her? Or you?" said Asuma.

Danzo just scoffed at Asuma ignoring what he said to him and looked back at kyo who has been quiet until now.

"Why don't we let the Uchiha Princess herself decide. So what will it be kyo? Ready to really start your ninja journey to become one of the greats under my guidance?" asked Danzo.

Kyo looked at Danzo and said "While I appreciate your... generous offer, I decide my fate and I think it's best for me to remain where I am, working for lord 3rd hokage. Besides I don't think my father, leader of the Uchiha, would be too keen on you coming to approach his only daughter about things such as these without his approval or presence."

Danzo scowled and said "I just figured that since you're a full blown ninja now, you wouldn't need parental permission for something like this.".

"Maybe you misunderstood me, I decide what I need and what's best for me and it is my decision to respectfully decline your offer." said Kyo.

Both Asuma and Hiruzen raised an eyebrow in shock and kyo's response and how she had no fear standing up for herself against him.

Danzo scoffed and said "Very well then. Have it your way.".

Then he turned to take his leave.

"Leaving empty handed Danzo? Was there something else you needed?" asked Hiruzen with a slight smirk.
