The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 20- home

Kyo POV

My whole entire body hurts. I was awake but not awake at the same time. My eyes were closed but I was awake. "Romo?" I called. "Yes Kyo?" he answered. "Where are we right now?" I asked. "Well kyo I'm happy to tell you that we are in a hospital in the leaf village." Said romo. What? Did he just say that? "I-I'm, we're home?" I asked. "That's right Kyo we're home." Said romo.

The tears instantly started flowing. I've never been so happy in my life. I could hear some voices trying to talk to me. I don't know who they are because I'm not fully awake yet but it sounds like it's a mix of my brothers and my parents. I can feel someone putting their hand on my forehead trying to see if I'm alright. Probably a doctor or something. Truthfully, I've never been better. I think. I can't wait to tell my family that. As soon as I open my eyes and wake up. Which for some reason is very hard to do.

After a few seconds, I'm finally able to open my eyes. But I instantly closed them again because the lights of the hospital are so bright. I adjusted my eyes to the light and then opened my eyes again. I could see my whole family in the room. Papa and Mommy were sitting on one side of my bed, Itachi and Shisui were sitting on the other, Kakashi was leaning against the doorway, and Sasuke was asleep at the end of my bed. As soon as they saw I was awake they all came rushing to my bed. All the motion of my family caused sasuke to wake up. When he saw I was awake he instantly pounced on me and hugged me tighter than he ever has before.

Then his body started shaking and I got a little nervous. My shoulder was starting to get wet. I looked at sasu-nii's face and I saw something I've never seen before. Big brother Sasuke was crying. "Kiki i-I was so scared. I t-thought I would never s-see you again. I'm so s-sorry I couldn't protect you." He said. I hugged him even tighter and nuzzled my face into his chest. When I looked at him again he had a more serious look on his face. He sniffled and wiped his tears and then said "This will never happen again Imouto. I promise that I will always protect you and never let anything like this happen to you again.".

3rd POV

The words spoken by little sasuke had struck the hearts of everyone else in the room. Kakashi, Itachi, Shisui, and even their parents felt the same level of emotion that sasuke was feeling. Each of the people in that room was making the same promise to themselves to protect Kyo. She may still only be 4 but she was able to sense the emotions that everyone in the room was feeling and she was grateful. Grateful that she had 2 loving parents, and all of her caring big brothers. She knew not everyone had things like her new friends she made at orochimaru's.

Kyo also made herself a promise that she will see her friends again and that they will be able to know those things too. She promised herself that she would save them one day. Kyo was about to voice her thanks to her family but when she opened her mouth no sound came out. She had tried to tell her family that she loved them but she was unable to. Thinking it was because she just woke up, Kyo pointed to her throat which caught kakashi's attention. The big brother then brought Kyo a cup of water which she downed in an instant.

After having some water and clearing her throat she tried to speak again but was given the same result. No sound. Now she was starting to panic. Fugaku saw the look of fear flash in his daughter's face and was by her side in an instant. "Kyo what's wrong?" he asked. Kyo looked to her father with tears in her eyes. Then she mouthed 'I can't talk! I'm trying to but I have no voice. Papa I'm scared. Why do I have no voice?'. Itachi having his sharingan activated was able to clearly read her lips so he was able to tell his father what she said. Kyo was freaking out internally while her parents started calling for a doctor.

Kyo POV

"Romo what's going on why can't I talk!!!"

"I don't know kyo but I'm going to figure it out. Let's see what the doctor says when they come back. I'm going to conceal my presence when they get here but I will be searching for what could have caused this problem." Said romo. Okay okay I just need to relax and see what the doctor says.
