The Tale of Kyo Uchiha

chapter 32 - well that was quick

3rd POV

Its been quite a while since kyo started at the academy. In fact its almost the end of the school year. Kyo has been doing exceptionally well and is top of her class, better yet top of her year which led to Iruka asking to meet with her parents.

There was a knock on the classroom door.

"Come in." called out Iruka.

The door slid open and in walked Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha. After their greetings they all sat down to talk about the reason Iruka called this meeting.

"Mr. and Mrs. Uchiha your daughter Kyo Uchiha is one of the smartest children I've ever seen. Her ability far exceeds that of the other kids her age as well as many of the older kids. She has the highest test scores inside and outside the classroom. Some of the older teachers even say that her abilities rival that of her older brother Itachi's at her age. Having said that I wanted to know your thoughts on moving her up?" said Iruka.

Her parents wore proud smiles on their faces of their youngest child. Though not biologically theirs, shes made them very impressed.

"How far would you want to move her? A class or maybe more?" asked Mikoto.

"I actually was going to pose the question of early graduation. I think she's more than capable of taking the graduation exam and passing. Her skill level is almost higher than the graduating class this year anyway. Depending on your approval I was going to ask for the Hokage's approval as well. But after seeing where Kyo's skill level lies I'm sure he would approve. What are your thoughts?" asked Iruka.

Fugaku was more than willing to let his daughter take the exam and become a genin now instead of wasting time teaching her things she already knows. Plus, its always useful to have another Uchiha in the ranks especially with the way things have been going between the village and the clan. Another set of eyes and ears would do them good.

Mikoto on the other hand was a bit more concerned about Kyo and what she may think of this. She doesn't want kyo to do anything she doesn't want to just because she may think she has to. She wants kyo to enjoy her youth before she dedicates her life to serving the village. Have some happy childhood memories to look back on when she's older and in need of a mental hug. Especially after all she's been through already.

Fugaku is just about to approve of kyo taking the exam when Mikoto spoke.

"I think what's most important is Kyo's wellbeing here. What if she doesn't want to take this exam and become a genin before all her friends and her brother. If you think she is old enough and wise enough to take this exam and do well then, she should be included in this conversation." she said.

"Kyo is outside playing with her friends. Would you like me to go grab her?" asked Iruka.

Mikoto looked and Fugaku and nodded. Then Fugaku turned to Iruka and said "Yes.".

Meanwhile...

Kyo was outside playing tag with her friends, and she was just tagged by sakura.

She was laughing and began to chase after naruto when Iruka came outside and called her over.

"Why do you think Iruka sensei is calling me over? Do you think it has something to do with mommy and father being here? I was able to sense them when they got here."
