A week went by and soon enough it was Friday, the Friday that Spencer would be coming. You didn't know if he would want to sleep in your bed or not so you made sure all your spare bedding was clean to put on the sofa bed you had in your living room.
His flight was coming in at 6:30pm so you had time to get to the airport after work and pick him up. The whole day at work all you could think of was seeing him, so much so that the difficult project you were working on didn't even bother you, because every time it did, you just pictured Spencer's face when he saw you at the airport.
When 5pm rolled around you put on your coat and got ready to leave, "Bye Sylvie!" You shouted to your lab assistant, "Oh, Y/N, did Freddie come and talk to you at all today?" She shouted back and you retreated back to where Sylvie was sat. Freddie was your project manager and also your boss. You had been offered the position of project manager when you started working at RenoTech, but turned it down as your mum had just gotten sick and you couldn't commit to the hours and also you hated paperwork.
"No... he didn't, why?" You asked a little worriedly, "I don't know. I guess he'll talk to you on Tuesday then." "Okay then. Have a good weekend Sylvie." "You too Y/N." She replied and you walked out.
It took about an hour to drive to the airport and when you arrived you checked his flight time on the website with the tracker number Spencer had given you and it said the flight was on time, so he should be in baggage claim by now.
You went to arrivals and stood with all the other people and you held a sign that said 'The very handsome Dr Spencer Reid'. After a few minutes you saw his tall frame come through the doors, you beamed and so did he. He stopped walking and dropped his bags where he stood and you ran up to him and wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his around your waist and lifted you off the floor.
"Oh I missed you so much Y/N." He sighed happily into your neck, "I missed you so much too Spence." You replied and Spencer lowered you back onto the floor and kissed you sweetly. Once he had pulled away you helped him with his bags and began to walk to your car. "Did you like the sign?" You asked smugly, "I love the sign, do I get to keep it?" He giggled back, "But of course Doctor Reid." You replied and kissed him again sweetly and helped him put his bags in the boot of your car.
On the way back to your flat, you caught up with each other as you hadn't spoken since yesterday as Spencer's flight was early in the morning in DC time. "I managed to get my sleep schedule in line with London time so I am all yours, no tired and groggy Spencer." Spencer said as you drove, "How'd you manage that? It's quite a time difference." "I fly pretty much for a living so I'm used to it." Spencer nodded, "Ah right, of course." You agreed.
When you got back to your flat you showed Spencer around each of the rooms and then you figured you needed to talk to him about sleeping arrangements, "And this is my bedroom." You said as you finished the tour, "Um... Spence, I don't know how you feel about sleeping arrangements and stuff but I have a sofa bed so you can sleep there or you can sleep with me in my bed..." You said very quickly, trailing off at the end making Spencer smirk, "Well I don't mind sleeping with you at all." He replied with a bit of a tease in his voice. "Cool." You tried to play off how excited that made you feel but Spencer could obviously tell and he wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you in tight, "I'm so glad you're here Spence." You said as you put your arms around his neck and kissed him deeply and he gladly accepted. Kissing you back just as passionately.
