Just over 4 months had passed since that night and life had been pretty uneventful.
Spencer had gotten a new haircut that was a lot shorter and you actually kind of missed his long locks, but something about his new look was more alluring and sexy. Even though you thought that, the rest of the team picked on him slightly about it.
One evening you had had all the team round for dinner and Derek, Rossi and Emily spent practically the whole time coming up with silly nicknames, but none of them rivalled Hotch's 'did you join a boyband?' Comment.
The team had been busy with cases as usual and you had been spending lots of time with Will, Henry and Jack as all of you were nearly always around. You and Will called yourselves the 'stay at home mums' and you often went round to play with Henry or give will some rest bite.
You had also started looking after Jack quite a lot when the team were away. Haley's sister, Jessica usually stayed with him but when she couldn't Jack had started to come and stay with you. You had set up the second guest bedroom for him and he now called it his 'other home'. You baked together and went on walks as well as met with Will and Henry.
It was August, you were a month into residency and just as you finally had a few days off, the team were on a case for a few nights and Jessica couldn't stay with Jack so you had him while they were gone. Jack was feeling a little low so you let him have waffles and ice cream for dinner as long as he didn't tell Hotch. He was sat at your coffee table in the living room and you had gone to make you both some hot chocolate.
"Whatcha doing bud?" You asked as you came back in, setting the mugs down in front of him and perching next to Jack on the floor,
"Drawing a picture." He replied, not looking up and you looked at his drawing. There were what looked like 4 adults and 2 children and a house.
"What's it of?"
"Mommy, Daddy, You, Spencer, me and your baby."
"My baby?" You scoffed slightly, almost choking back your hot chocolate,
"Yeah, I'd like it if you and Spencer had a baby."
"Oh really? And why's that?"
"Because it would kind of be like my brother or sister. And I'd like a brother or sister." Jack replied thoughtfully and you nodded, getting an overwhelming feeling of sadness that Jack would never have any proper siblings, but at least he felt close enough to you and Spencer that any children you would have would be close enough.
"Well definitely someday Jack but I don't think it'll be anytime soon." You replied and ruffled Jack's hair slightly and you moved onto the sofa, flicking on the TV.
The team got back 2 days later but before they did, Jessica came and took Jack much to his disappointment as you had to work and Jessica was back in town.
