We stormed into the building, Morgan going in first and kicking the door down in his regular style. The first floor was cleared pretty quickly as there was nothing on it except some rooms with conference tables in and a large lobby. The floor above however was one long corridor with lots of locked doors. There weren't any lights or windows and the only source of light we had was from our flashlights. One by one we opened the doors to find a couple of server rooms but also the one from the video Lance had put on Garcia's computer.

It was larger than it looked on camera, the table Y/N had been strapped to in the centre. Underneath were her clothes that she had been wearing this morning and they looked like they had been ironed and pressed. I turned to Morgan who nodded and we all left the room.

I was the last to enter the next room, but before I could step through the doorframe I heard a strange noise coming from along the corridor. It sounded like wheels squeaking. I headed towards where the noise was coming from but I could barely see 5 feet in front of me even with my flashlight.

I turned a corner and saw a door slam shut so of course I headed towards the door and followed through it. I tuned another corner and that's when I could just about see Lance staring me dead on wheeling a hospital gurney but I couldn't see if Y/N was on it or not through the darkness. "Ah Spencer, you found us. Unfortunately, you're out of time." He laughed, gripping the gurney tighter.

"Lance it's over, where's Y/N?" I shouted back, edging forwards slightly, my gun pointed right between his eyes but he just smiled at me,

"You didn't figure it out did you?" He laughed, bowing his head and I re-gripped my gun,

"Why does it matter?"

"It matters because if you were really meant to be with Doctor Y/LN, you would have noticed like I did!" He shrieked back, taking a step forward and I could just about see Y/N on the gurney behind him.

"If you were really meant to be with her you wouldn't have to kidnap her to be with her! She chose me, she doesn't even know who you are!"

"I did what was necessary! She deserves the best for her and for-" The sound of a gunshot interrupted him, but it wasn't me shooting him, it came from behind him. A second later Lance fell to the ground forwards, blood gushing from his shoulder and Emily was standing behind him with her gun still aimed, looking like she was in shock.

I ran forward and quickly made sure Lance didn't have any weapons on him before going to Y/N on the gurney. She was passed out cold but she was breathing, "Hey pretty girl." I cried, stroking her hair and the side of her face while Hotch and Morgan handcuffed Lance and took him to an ambulance that was waiting outside.

"I-I was aiming for his head, b-but my hands..." Emily stuttered, lowering her gun slowly while her hands shook like an earthquake and I wrapped her arms around her tightly,

"Thank you." I whispered into her neck and she hugged me back lightly,

"You don't need to thank me Reid, he tried to take her from us." She replied and I pulled away from her, smiling softly and then went back to Y/N as she was wheeled outside to the other ambulance.

We all headed outside while the SWAT team cleared the rest of the building before sending forensics in to do a sweep. I sat in the door of the ambulance where Y/N laid still as the paramedics began to get her ready to transport her to the hospital.
