The next day, you decided to do some shopping, you felt like treating yourself and you wanted to get your dad and brothers a little something from your trip too. Emily and everyone else was at the office today but after you were done shopping you decided to get the train down to Quantico and then you could ride back with her in the car. You had nothing else to do anyways.
You dropped your bags off at the apartment before heading on the train, reading a book that Spencer had recommended to you on your date last night that you picked up when you went shopping.
You got to Quantico and headed up to the BAU, and when you did JJ and Aaron were standing outside the lift with someone you thought you recognised but weren't sure. "Ah, Y/N, Emily is just with Garcia if that's who you're looking for." JJ greeted you and you went and stood next to her, "Y/N as in Dr Y/FN Y/LN?" The man who you vaguely recognised asked with a smile on his face, "Yes..." You said confused, "I'm sorry, I'm terrible with names, have we met?" "Hi, sorry, I'm Director Greeley. I knew your mother, she was always so incredibly proud of you. I was very sorry to hear about her passing." The Director explained sympathetically and Agent Hotchner and JJ looked in shock, they didn't know about your mum.
"Thank you, and it's nice to meet you." You replied, trying to change the subject, "I need to go, but it was nice to finally put a name to the face." Director Greeley said walking away in the other direction. "I'm really sorry Y/N, I didn't know about your mother." Agent Hotchner said sadly and JJ nodded in agreement, "She made us all promise not to make a big deal to anyone, honestly Agent Hotchner, it's okay." "Please, call me Aaron." He insisted, the corners of his mouth turning up slightly before walking into the bullpen.
You and JJ went into Penelope's office and as you walked through the door a piece of crumpled up paper flew at your nose, "Oh!" You shouted, it took you by surprise and JJ let out a laugh, well it was more of a snort than a laugh. You caught the piece of paper and opened it to find your list of chemicals from the other day. "Sorry Y/N! I was aiming for the trash can..." Penelope said covering her mouth with her hands. The bin was at least 2 meters away from the door, "I think you need to improve your aim." You joked, throwing the piece of paper in the bin.
"What are you doing here? I thought you were doing a shopping day?" Emily asked, spinning around in a desk chair, "I got bored so I figured I'd come up and say hi and then I can drive back with you." "We're still on for tonight right? I've been starving myself all day waiting for all of the Chinese food we're going to eat!" JJ said putting her hand to her stomach, "Yeah definitely!" You replied smiling at each of the girls, "Oh so you're not blowing us off for that guy from last night?" Emily's teased, raising her eyebrows at you and pursing her lips, "Ooo!" Said JJ, "Guy? What guy?" Penelope exclaimed, jolting her head from each of your in surprise. You rolled your eyes, "I never said it was a guy! It's just an old friend!" You argued back, but nobody was buying it.
After a while you and Emily went home to get ready for your dinner with Penelope and JJ. You all agreed to casual attire so you wore some jeans a vest top and a long cardigan before heading out.
