A/N: let's cause some trauma...
November was pretty uneventful, just usual. Spencer busy on cases, you shattered from residency, but you had also spent a lot of time talking to your family over the phone and on video chat. It had been over a year since you had moved out to DC and you hadn't seen any of your family in person in a long time and you missed them a lot. Moving around so much meant your family were the only constant- and now Spencer was that constant and it was a strange adjustment.
One afternoon before you went in for your shift you were talking to Georgia on the phone, "When will I get to see you Auntie Y/N?" She asked sadly and it made your heartbreak,
"I don't know angel, I'm sorry. But I miss you. How are Louis and Dylan?" You asked trying to change the subject so you didn't start crying. Dylan was 1 now and you hadn't seen them in almost a year.
"They're good. Louis is at nursery now and he brings friends over all the time. It's really annoying." She complained and you giggled,
"Oh, I bet." You looked at the time and sighed, "I'm sorry Georgia but I have to go. Can I talk to grandad really quickly?" You asked as you knew that your niece and nephews were staying with your dad that night.
"Okay. I miss you."
"Miss you too." You heard little feet patter around, the sound of Georgia walking over to your dad.
"Hey, sweetheart! How's my superstar?" Your dad said cheerfully,
"I'm alright. I miss everyone. How are you?"
"Oh we miss you too, is it still alright for me to come out in December?"
"Yeah, of course, I can't wait. I'll pick you up from the airport."
"Okay, I'll keep in touch. You should get to the hospital now."
"Yeah, I should... Love you, dad."
"Love you too Y/N." Your dad hung up the phone and you got ready to leave for work.
———It was officially December; the cold was beginning to set in and you were excited to see your dad. He was staying for just over a month which would be great as you hadn't seen him in so long and it would be nice to have familial company while Spencer was working.
You had taken the day off the day that your dad was arriving so you could pick him up, but first, you had to go down to Quantico to pick up the car as Spencer had been running too late that morning to take the train. You still hadn't bought your own car as Spencer was away so much it seemed impractical.
You arrived at the BAU to be greeted by Emily, "Hey 189! I've missed you!" She said, hugging you as she did, "I've missed you too. Have you seen Spence? I need the car to go and get dad."
"I think he's in the briefing room with Seaver. Say hi to your dad for me!"
"Yeah of course!" You smiled and headed up to the briefing room to see Spencer sat with a very pretty blonde girl laughing. "Hey." You smiled as you knocked on the door and Spencer darted up,
"Y/N! Hi!" Spencer smiled and got up to kiss you hello, "Y/N this is Agent Seaver, Agent Seaver this is my fiancé Doctor Y/FN Y/LN." Spencer introduced you and the blonde girl extended her hand and smiled at you.
"Please, call me Ashley. It's so nice to meet you, Doctor Reid talks about you all the time." She smiled and you smiled back, looking down at her hand and then back at her,
