[Spencer's POV]

Hotch, Seaver and the forensics team accompanied me back to Y/N and mine's house, they screened it for prints but came up empty, this guy was covering his tracks and we still didn't know who he was. "Reid, does anything seem out the ordinary? Or has anything seemed out of the ordinary in the past few weeks? Things missing or in the wrong place?"

I looked around the house, focusing on every detail but couldn't find anything, until I went into our bedroom. On the dresser opposite the bed Y/N and I had cards stood up on display, there were 5, one from Georgia, Louis and Dylan, a birthday card from my mom, the birthday card Y/N's dad and brother had given her before she moved out here and- "Hotch!" I shouted from upstairs and Hotch and Seaver came running up, "There should be 5, there's only 4."

"Which one is missing?"

"The one I gave her when we came back from Canada. I gave her a key to my old apartment." I said thoughtfully and then my head darted up,

"What?" Seaver asked,

"Y/N was working at a lab that week in DC. Garcia set it up. What if this guy met Y/N there and worked with her or something." It felt like pieces were all falling into place and Hotch nodded,

"Call Garcia." He said and so I did, putting my phone on speaker,

"Boy genius, I haven't gotten anywhere yet this guy is a ghost." Garcia said apologetically,

"Garcia, cross reference the names and faces you have with employees at the lab Y/N worked at in DC last year."

"Okay, okay, give me a tic." She said and hung up the phone.

"Reid, did you notice anything else?" Hotch asked while I walked around Y/N and I's bedroom,

"No... No I don't think so."

We headed down the stairs and I made sure I analysed everything but it didn't look like anything was different and after a little while we headed back to Quantico.

When we got back, Prentiss had taken Stefan to her place so he could get some rest and everyone else communed in the briefing room. "I've done it! I did it! I found him!" Garcia threw her arms up in the air but then her face dropped, "Sort of..."

"Baby girl what do you mean?" Morgan asked her and she pressed a button on the screen. A photo of the guy from the beach who was also the guy in the video popped up.

"Meet Carl Newley. He worked at the lab Y/N visited in DC and also rented a house next door to the one Reid did in the Hamptons the same weekend."

"So what's the sort of about?" Asked Rossi,

"He didn't exist until 18 months ago."

"What do you mean he didn't exist?" Seaver replied confusedly,

"I mean no bank accounts, no drivers licence no job, nada. Not this Carl Newley anyway."

"So he changed his name 18 months ago? This guy has something to hide but what is it?" Rossi followed up and the room went silent.

"How did he get a job at a prestigious lab if he couldn't give any details that go back further than a few months? And do we know how he managed to cut the feed and get access to your computer?" Seaver asked,

"No, I don't know how he got into the security cameras and my files, but let me call the lab and see what details he gave them when he started working there." Garcia said and rushed of to her office.

Emily came back from taking Stefan to her place and we tried to dig a bit deeper, I must have watched the video Carl had left us 100 times looking for clues but I couldn't see anything. The room was blank there wasn't anything on the walls, he didn't reveal anything about himself, I couldn't think of anything. I stood at the whiteboard with Carl Newley written at the top, spinning the whiteboard pen around my fingers.
