(This chapter is really soppy btw :))
[Spencer's POV]
Today was mine and Y/N's 1 year anniversary. 1 year with the most wonderful woman on the planet and I couldn't be happier.
I had arranged for Y/N and I to go to the same restaurant we had had our first date at as a surprise and Garcia and I had been planning her present for months, practically since I had proposed.
As soon as I could, I left the BAU and drove home to get ready for Y/N and I's dinner saying goodbye to the team hastily on my way out.
When I got home it was just past 6 so I had about an hour to get ready before the reservation at half 7. Usually Y/N greeted me at the door or shouted 'hello' if she was busy, but today nothing.
I went upstairs and could hear music blasting from our en suite, she must not have heard me when I came in the music was so loud. I opened the door to see Y/N looking absolutely gorgeous, which wasn't abnormal, but still stunned me every time at just how beautiful she was. Y/N spun around with a lipstick in her hand, one lip was done and the other was bare, and smiled at me, "Happy one year Spence." She kissed me deeply but short ao as not to cover me in lipstick,
"Happy one year Y/N." I replied and she kissed me again quickly before going back to putting her makeup on.
"How was your day?" She asked, looking at me in the mirror,
"It was good, lots of paperwork. How was your day?"
"Nice actually! I did a video call with Zach, Lola and the kids and got to see Dylan. He's so big already."
"Oh that reminds me! Hotch said that Jack wanted to have us over for dinner soon."
"That's so cute!" Y/N gushed and scrunched her face up in that cute way she did. I had a shower and got changed into a more date worthy outfit as opposed to my regular work attire and when I was about to put on my watch Y/N stopped me, "Can you open my present?" She batted her eyelids and held a box in her hands,
"I thought we were doing presents at the restaurant?" I laughed slightly and she rolled her eyes at me,
"I can't wait that long! Just open your present!" She handed me the box smiling uncontrollably and I laughed some more and did as I was told.
I opened the box to see a stunning antique 1940s brown leather watch. I looked up to Y/N who was smiling at me, waiting for a response, "Y/N, this is incredible but surely it's too much." I couldn't bare to think about how much this cost her,
"Just turn it over!" She said, flapping her hand at me so I did and there was an inscription on the back which read:1 year of you and I, A lifetime to go
"It was my grandfathers watch. He gave it to my mum and when she died she left to to me and I want you to have it. I got the inscription done a couple weeks ago I was worried you'd see it in the drawer."
"Y/N, I love it, I love you, I-I." I couldn't think of the words to tell her how much I appreciated her gift. I knew this watch would be important to her family and part of me was slightly worried that it should belong with one of her brothers instead but I knew that Y/N would have thought all of this over very carefully before even considering it.
"I love you too." She replied and kissed me softly and then I put on the watch and shortly after we headed to the restaurant.
[Y/N's POV]
Spencer drove us over to a familiar restaurant, it was the one we had been to on our first date, "Are you prepared for a night of nostalgia?" He smiled down on you and you smiled back as he parked the car.
