It was finally the day of the wedding. The ceremony didn't start until 4 so you had all day to get ready and prepare in case anything went wrong.

You didn't bother setting an alarm, just told the girls that if you weren't up by midday then to wake you up, you thought it was better you sleep as much as possible instead of spending all day thinking of every possible thing that could, and knowing your luck, would, go wrong.

You were dreaming, it was dark, but there were streams of light, like when you rub your eyes too hard. You could see your mother. She was sitting on a bench in what looked like Richmond park in London, where you used to live. She turned around and smiled at you, reaching for your hand and as you came up next to her you saw a pram next to her. You looked inside and saw a baby. Your baby. Yours and Spencer's baby. It was Reuben.

When you saw your son, he smiled and laughed, it was the most angelic thing you had ever seen and you beamed back. Your mother reached in and got him out, cradling him in her arms, 'Don't worry darling," She said, "we are keeping each other company."

And with that you woke up.

You didn't know how you felt. It was definitely a sort of sadness, but not completely or consumingly like it had felt when you had lost both of them. More of a comforting sadness, the kind of sadness that reminds you you can still feel things, that you haven't forgotten.

You sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard, it had only just occurred to you that you weren't in your own bed, or that Spencer wasn't next to you. You were in a suite. The suite of the place you were going to marry Spencer. And with that you got out of bed, you were marrying your best friend today.

You looked at the time and it was just gone eleven, so you still had a while before Emily or one of the girls would come to wake you up so you decided to order some room service. You ordered croissants with some jams, a cup of coffee and they also brought you the newspaper for that day and you enjoyed the sounds of the morning hustle and bustle with your breakfast.

You had the window open so you could hear the chefs cooking in the kitchen, and staff ordering other staff around trying to get everything ready even though there was still over four hours until the ceremony.

After breakfast you had a shower and when you came out, Emily, JJ and Penelope were sat at the sofas in your room, "Goodmorning!" JJ smiled, getting up to hug you in your complimentary bath robe and hair wrapped in a towel.

You smiled back at her and Penelope and Emily came up and hugged you as well, "Are you nervous?" Emily asked, holding your shoulders after pulling away from your hug,

"No," You smiled, "not in a traditional sense. More of a nervous excitement. Spence is the love of my life, I can't wait for our life together." Penelope's eyes were wide and glassy, "Don't cry P!"

"I'm sorry! It's just too sweet!" Penelope choked, brushing the tears from under her eyes away just for them to be replaced with new ones.

Around 1pm your dad came in to see you, he was already dressed in his suit, complete with his button hole and all, "Dad, why are you dressed? We still have 3 hours!"

"My only daughter is getting married, can you blame me for being excited? How is my darling girl on this happiest of days."

"I'm good! Yeah..." You said, your smile fading the more you looked at your dad, reminding you of your dream with your mother. Your dad came up to you and pulled you into his arms,

"I know love, I miss her too." He whispered into the top of your head, brushing your hair gently and you rested your head into his chest, taking deep breaths. After a minute or two you pulled away,

"I think it is nearly time to start getting you ready Y/N." Emily smiled, holding up the dress bag with your wedding dress in, her smile so large it reached ear to ear.

You had decided against hiring a hairdresser and a makeup artist as you were quite fussy about how you liked both being done and wanted to do it yourself. You blow dried your hair first as you had just had a shower and then the girls helped you paint your nails a subtle nude colour and filed them into a nice shape for you as you were hopeless at that sort of thing.

Around 2:30 you did your makeup, nice and simple, just some mascara, blush and lipstick and then you did your hair in a half up half down style, your long hair cascading over your shoulders with soft curls running through.

It was now 3:40, just 20 minutes to go and you were standing in the bathroom staring at your dress hanging up. You slipped into the yards of white chiffon and lace before making your way back into the suite where Emily, Penelope, JJ and your father were all sat and waiting, the girls in their bridesmaid dresses.

You opened the door and everyone gushed, which made you blush. It was just a dress, and even though you did feel beautiful in it, you didn't really see the big deal.

"Oh wow..." Emily said, pursing her lips together and eyes watering, "What happened to that little girl I met all those years ago hey?" Tears were slowly falling down her face as she came up to you and hugged you,

"She just grew up a little and thanks to you found her soulmate." You replied, fighting the tears off yourself,

"Oh I love you so much Y/N. I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks Em."

"You ready?" Your dad asked, his cheeks red with pride as he extended an arm for you to hold on to. You took his arm and nodded,

"So ready."
