[Spencer's POV]
3 years, 8 months later
"Esmé! Your pancakes are getting cold!" I shout up the stairs as I pour the syrup onto the plate of pancakes I'd made and set them down on the table,
"I'm coming!" Her little voice shouts back followed by some gentle plods as her feet carry her down the stairs. I sit down at the table and turn to Isaac in the high chair,
"Here you go buddy," I say gently as I feed some pancake through his tiny mouth, he smiles in happiness in return and his smile infects my mouth, causing me to smile too. He was 2 now as of a week ago, and every day made me thankful for this life that Y/N made possible for me.
A few seconds later, Esmé appears, her brown curls mad on her shoulders, "What happened to the braids I did?" I ask and she shrugs,
"Mummy's are better. When will she be home?" She asks in her cute american-english accent as she sits in her chair next to me. Y/N tries so hard to keep her 'queen's English' accent intact, especially around the kids, but their pronunciation always makes me laugh even though Es has been talking for almost three years,
"Any minute now, but you need to eat your breakfast otherwise you'll be late for preschool." I nudge her plate closer to her and Es starts eating while I monitor Isaac eating his.
"Mama!" Isaac shouts with a mouthful of food as I hear the front door close,
"Hey babies!" Y/N says as she walks into the kitchen, kissing Esmé on the cheek first, then Isaac and then coming to me. Her soft lips touching mine for just a second but enough for me to taste the hot chocolate she must have just had,
"Hey gorgeous, how was work?" I ask while Y/N grabs herself a serving of my pancakes,
"It was good! But I'm shattered, can't wait for a nap once Tommy gets here." She sits down next to Esmé and looks at her hair with raised eyebrows, "Es, did you take daddy's plaits out again?"
"He calls them braids and your plaits are better." She insists and finishes her pancakes, Y/N and I both chuckle under our breaths.
I watch Y/N as she re-braids Esmé's hair, but as she is tying the last band I see a look on her face I know all too well. Quickly, Y/N gets up and rushes off to the bathroom and I follow behind, holding her hair back while she vomits over the toilet, "How bad was it during your shift?" I ask once she's done and give her a glass of water which she sips slowly,
"Not too bad, until about five. I guess they call it morning sickness for a reason." She jokes, the corners of her lips turning slightly,
"Maybe it's a girl then. You weren't sick when you were pregnant with Isaac."
"Yeah, maybe. We'd be two for two." She smiles up at me and I kiss the top of her head,
"When should we tell the kids?"
Y/N nods, "It's too soon, maybe after the 12 week scan? We can show them the sonogram. I want to tell them before I start showing."
"Okay, I need to get Es to school and get to the airport. You going to be alright until Tommy gets here?"
"Of course, I'm fine. Have a safe flight and call me when you land."
"I love you,"
"I love you too."
2 DAYS LATER...
[Y/N's POV]
"Mummy when will daddy be home?" Esmé asks you as you tie up her shoe laces,
