You were getting married in the main ballroom at the hotel. You had decorated it in white drapes on the walls and white and red roses and other various flowers of those colours. It was beautiful.

You were waiting in the 'Bride's room' for the cue for Henry and Jack, your page boys and Una, Emily, Penelope, JJ and Georgia, your bridesmaids, to start walking down the isle which was given by a blue light that appeared above the door once Spencer was in position and the music had started.

"Auntie Y/N, you look really pretty." Georgia complimented. She was sat on your lap nuzzling into you,

"Oh thank you Georgie, so do you. Are you ready to walk down the isle in a minute?"

"Yes I am. Mummy and me have been practicing all week."

"Practicing what?"

"Practicing how to throw my flowers." She said this in a tone as if it was the most obvious thing in the world and you were being really dumb, her face said it all. Her eyebrows were furrowed and her lips pushed out to a pout

"Oh of course, how could I be so silly!" You replied and giggled slightly, and then the light went blue.

"See you on the other side!" Penelope joked as everyone left the room and you and your dad stood up,

"Let's go." You smiled, taking your fathers arm and steadying yourself on your feet and your father opened the door which lead to the ballroom.

You could see all of your guests sat shoulder to shoulder on either side of the isle, and at the end, you could see Spencer. Your Spencer, handsome as ever.

Spencer smiled broadly, his eyes narrowing and his nose scrunching in that adorable way that it did. As you walked towards him, he couldn't take his eyes off you. Every step, his eyes fixed on you and yours on him, you mouthed 'I love you' to him when you were just a few metres away which made him grin even more, 'I love you too' he mouthed back and a second or two later you were opposite him at the alter.

Spencer took your hands in his and kissed you on the forehead sending the guests into a series of 'aww's' and 'ohh's' and you smiled even more.

"Today we are here to celebrate love, the love between these incredible people, Doctor Spencer Reid, and Doctor Y/N Y/LN. Two people that as I have gotten to know, realise are two people that this world is infinitely grateful to have, which I'm sure you, as their friends and family, already know." Your officiant Verity began, "Many people believe marriage is just an institution, a piece of paper that to some doesn't mean anything, and in some ways, those people would be correct... because marriage, by definition, is a legally or formally recognised union of two people, but for a marriage to be successful, you need to have love. A love deep in understanding for one another, a love that believes in one another... And so that piece of paper, that many believe is all marriage is, is actually so much more than that. Because it is a promise. A promise that today Spencer and Y/N are making to one another. To be a team no matter what, and from what I understand, Y/N and Spencer have already been through their fair share. And that is so much more than a piece of paper." Verity smiled at you both sweetly, "Now, Y/N and Spencer have prepared their own vows, and I am certain they will talk about their love much more accurately there I can." There was a scatter of faint laughter throughout the room as she nodded to Spencer and he took a deep breath,

"A part of me has always felt incomplete... like I was never enough. No matter how much I learnt or read there was always something missing. And then I met you, Y/N... and I realised that perhaps I wasn't missing something, not something I had once had anyway, but that I just hadn't met that missing part yet. You once said that we could be broken together but that's not true because with you I'm not broken. I'm complete. Nothing is missing and you make me feel as through I am enough. We don't need to be broken together because together neither of us need fixing." You started crying, soft, happy tears of love as you listened to Spencer's words. He let out a slight sigh of laughter and gently wiped your tears with his thumb, cradling your face with his large gentle hands and then continued, "You are the miracle that I once didn't believe in, a statistical impossibility that I have found. You are my revelation, my love, my home and my best friend. You are the love I didn't think possible because I have never loved anyone the way I love you, and I intend to spend everyday for the rest of our lives thanking you for loving me, and allowing me to love you." You let your final tear fall to the crease in your smile and gently grabbed Spencer's face and kissed him, "I don't think you're supposed to do that yet." Spencer giggled, your faces just millimetres apart, and everyone else laughed too,

"I don't care." You replied and kissed him quickly once more,

"Y/N..." Verity urged and you took a deep breath, trying to stop crying,

"Spence, When I met you, I was not in a place for love. I was grieving, grieving the loss of my mother and I didn't know how to get out. It was like I was trapped in a hole with no way out." You began, fighting back the tears and then looked to your right to where your bridesmaids were standing to look at Emily, "And then Emily gave me a rope. She invited me out here for a taste of your world, and I fell in love. But that rope was no good to me without someone to pull me up, and that person was you." This time Spence was the one who was crying, "Spencer, you are the best thing I have ever found without ever having to look, the serendipity that I am forever thankful for and even though I'll never be able to explain to you just how much I love you and how grateful I am for you, I am going to try. Wading my way through an infinite combination of words until you might finally understand just a little bit of how I love you because you are so much more than I ever could have asked for." You choked your way through and Spencer was still in tears. You were both smiling at each other and Spencer stroked your hair lovingly,

"I told you they would say it better than I ever could." Verity joked and your guests laughed slightly. You looked back to the crowd of people and saw your dad sat in the first row next to your brothers crying his eyes out. When he saw you he stopped momentarily and smiled, wiping away his tears and you blew him a kiss. "Now we have all had a good cry," Verity paused and your guests laughed again, "I think we shall move on. May I have the rings please?" Emily turned to you and passed you a box and Derek did the same to Spencer.

"Y/N, please take the ring and repeat after me," You nodded and placed the ring at the end of Spencer's finger and repeated the band reading,

"... with this ring, I thee wed." You finished, and slipped the ring onto Spencer's finger. Afterward, Spencer did the same, and when he was finished, put the wedding band onto your finger.

"Now, by the power vested in me, it is my honour to pronounce you husband and wife! You-"

Verity did not need to tell you both what to do next as Spencer pulled you toward him, holding your face in both his hands, kissing you deeply and passionately and you wrapped your arms around his waist, listening to the cheers from your guests.

You had done it. You were married to your best friend in the world.
