Weeks had passed since Spencer had surprised you for the weekend and you missed him like crazy. The team had been busy working on cases and you were supposed to have gone out for a weekend visit but it had to be cancelled as the team had been pulled away on a case.
One morning you were sat at work when you had what you could only describe as a stroke of genius, you had finally figured out the last sequence to your project. You ran it through the machines and it worked. You had finally finished which meant once you had finished all the paperwork, your contract was up, and you would be done at RenoTech. That thought scared you more than you had anticipated, it meant that going back into medicine was now a reality, not something distant in the future anymore.
When you got home that evening your brother Zachary called you which he never did, he hated technology for the most part. "Hey Zach, what's up?"
"Do you want to meet your new baby nephew?" He asked and you almost dropped your phone,
"Of course I do! Congratulations! How is Lola doing?" You said excitedly,
"She's doing good! She's sleeping right now but wanted you to be the first to know. Luckily her labour was only a couple of hours."
"Okay, let me drive over, are you at Queensburough?" You asked, putting your shoes back on and grabbing your keys.
"Yeah we are, we'll see you soon yeah?"
"Yes I'm leaving now!" You shut your door and hung up the phone to make the drive over.
Just over half an hour later and you arrived at the hospital and Lola was now awake and holding their baby. "Hi!" You poked your head around the door and Lola and Zachary both smiled at you, "How is everyone?" You walked over to the bed and perched on the side,
"We're all good! Do you want to hold him?" Lola asked and lifted the baby to you slightly,
"Of course I do!" You reached over and cradled the newborn in your arms, "Hey!" You said quietly to the sleeping baby before looking up to Zach and Lola, "Does he have a name yet? I know with Georgia you couldn't decide but maybe 3rd time around it gets easier."
"Yes, this is Dylan. It was actually Georgia's pick but we just love it and it suits him so well." Lola smiled and you went back to adoring the baby. Zach took a photo of you with Dylan which you then sent onto Spencer to share the news.
[Spencer's POV]
I was sat at my desk working when an email from Y/N flashed up on my computer, when I opened it it was a photo of her and a baby which was Zach and Lola's new baby captioned, "Meet Dylan". I smiled at the photo, not only because of the baby but seeing how happy it made Y/N.
"Is there something you and Y/N need to tell us?" JJ said from behind my shoulder and I spun around in my chair,
"No! No, that's her nephew, he was born this morning, well afternoon over there."
