Your family stayed for a few days after Spencer's proposal, over Christmas but before New Year's Eve as your brothers still had to work and so did Spencer and the team.
Your dad had begun to ship out some more of your clothes but not any of your furniture or anything until you had moved into your new place in just a few weeks. "Spence! Have you seen my black coat?" You shouted from the bedroom out to Spencer who was finishing up the washing up in the kitchen, "Yeah it's in the cupboard by the door!" He shouted back and you walked through and sure enough he was right. "Wow..." Spencer said under his breath and reached for your left hand, "What?" You laughed, "You look incredible, and you're mine." He looked at your dress and then to your engagement ring before locking his eyes with yours.
You were wearing a navy sparkly mini dress with black heels and a bright red lipstick, perfect for Rossi's New Year's eve party you were heading to and Spencer was wearing some black trousers, a navy shirt that matched your dress and a black tie, looking very handsome.
He brought your hand to his lips and kissed it softly, "Says you, look how sexy you look in your shirt and tie." You commented and Spencer chuckled, "I wear a shirt and tie everyday." "Exactly." You kissed him lightly so as not to cover him in lipstick before putting on your coat, "Are you ready?" You asked and tilted your head slightly and Spencer nodded in response.
You drove the two of you over to Rossi's mansion and you walked up to the front door hand in hand and rang the doorbell.
"Well isn't it my favourite newly engaged couple!" David greeted you both and welcomed you inside where everyone except JJ, Will and Hotch already were, "I'm pretty sure we're the only engaged couple you know." Spencer said and David raised his eyebrows at you slightly and you went to join the others.
"Em!" You called out and Emily turned around and walked towards you as you wrapped your arms around each other and joined the others. "Wow Y/N! You look hot!" Penelope complimented you as she saw you, "Doesn't she?" Spencer agreed and spun you around making you giggle a bit and your cheeks flush slightly.
A few minutes later, the doorbell rang again and David opened it to see JJ and Will, "I'm so sorry we're late, Henry wouldn't go down." JJ explained and joined all of you, laughing and talking.
"So pretty boy, pretty girl, when are the wedding bells chiming?" Derek asked, looking to you two, Spencer had his hand around your waist. You looked at each other briefly before looking back to Derek, "We decided we want to enjoy a long engagement." Spencer kissed you cheek and you scrunched your nose slightly as you smiled, "Yeah, hopefully I'll be starting residency in July and we're not in any hurry. We have forever so why rush?" You added. "Can you two stop being adorable for like 5 minutes?" JJ joked and everyone laughed.
You continued to talk amongst yourselves and while everyone was in conversation, you took David aside slightly, "No Aaron?" You whispered, "No he wanted to be with Jack, I think his first Christmas without Haley was pretty rough." He replied and walked back to the team and you pulled out your phone.
