"Shinsuke?" (Y/N) slowly opened her eyes to find her husband carrying their 1 year old daughter in his arms. Since she was tired she tried to get some shut eye even for just a few minutes until they landed.

"She's been....crying nonstop. I don't know why," Takasugi sighs softly as he handed his daughter to her mother, "Please....." He begged lowly.

"Ahahaha," (Y/N) giggled, instantly the second (D/N) was brought into her arms she stopped crying. "It seems she just didn't want to be in her father's arms." She looked at Takasugi teasingly and the man pouted.

".....I don't care." He huffed, turning away from her to hide his face from her view. Takasugi loved his children more than anything, what he just couldn't understand was why were his children so distant from him?

"Mom, are we near Uncle Gin's place??" (S/N), their 4 year old first born tugged on (Y/N)'s clothes. He was the exact replica of Takasugi, but for the most part he got (Y/N)'s personality seeing as he was very kind and soft-hearted.

"Yes, honey." (Y/N) ruffled his hair and smiled, "We're almost near. So, go sit beside your father alright?"

(S/N) flinched at his mother's words, for some reason— (S/N) was terrified of Takasugi. Takasugi himself didn't even know why, but he had always acted nothing short of kindness in front of his children's eyes.

"....Why does he like that sugar breath so much?" Takasugi muttered under his breath, which (Y/N) heard. "He is his uncle, besides...." (Y/N) hummed and looked at her daughter.

"We're kind of a family now too, isn't it fine either ways?"

"........." Takasugi frowned, "....But my kids seem to like him more than their own father..."

"That's not true." (Y/N) laughed and looked out the window of their roon as they landed at Edo.

"They love you more than you think, Shinsuke."

"Woah, you sure have gotten big in the time I haven't seen you." Gintoki grins, ruffling (S/N)'s hair while (Y/N) and Takasugi settled on the couch.

Gintoki glanced at (Y/N) and smirked, "I wonder how you grew when you won't be able to get milk from your mother's flat—"

Gintoki was cut off when Kagura smacked his head with a fist. "Gin-chan, stop being rude to (Y/N)-nee when she comes here!!"

"(Y/N)-nee! I missed youuuu!!!" Then, she turned to (Y/N) to hug her. Kagura had always been a daughter figure to (Y/N) who secretly loved children so the yato always looked forward to her visits.

Takasugi was against the sudden and occasional visits to Gintoki's place— But he couldn't win against (Y/N) and (S/N). He was praying (D/N) wouldn't be tbe same when she grows a little more.

"By the way, I don't let one-eyed men into my home." Gintoki smugly looked at Takasugi who glared at him. "Find the door if you can— with your one eye, pfft!"

"What did you say—"

"...D-Dad...." (S/N) hesitantly approached Takasugi and tugged on his clothes. Takasugi looked at his son and saw the boy on the verge of tears. "I...I have an idea. Close your eye for a while...." (S/N) uttered out softly, Takasugi— being a softie for his children did as (S/N) asked.

"...A-All done!" (S/N) grinned widely, as Takasugi opened his eye and saw the mirror (S/N) held up at him.

"....What?"

"Do you like it?...." (S/N) gazed at him with expectant green orbs— sparkles were flying around him. It was like telling Takasugi indirectly that he would forever shatter his innocent son's heart if he said so otherwise.
