*Ahem!! In this, Isaburo is young! Well, this is set before he married his wife
"Get married already."
"Why did you reject your possible marriage partner?"
Isaburo clicked his tongue, as he ran his hand through his slicked back hair. His parents started their nagging again.
"It sounds annoying," Isaburo frowned, fixing his kimono he stepped outside of the house. Thinking he could get away from yet another day filled with nagging from his parents.
Isaburo looked up to the bright, sunny skies with a dead look in his eyes and sighs.
'....I feel like eating something sweet.'
"I hear the new bakery that just opened up has a lot of good sweets!!"
"What? Should we visit it then?"
Isaburo looked down and seemed to have been debating something in his mind.
"A new bakery....huh?"
Before he knew it, he started looking for where it was— feeling something like fate urging him to do so.
Walking into a delicious-smelling bakery, Isaburo's eyes widened at the sight of a lone woman standing behind the counter— a gentle smile plastered on her lips.
'Just what....'
At that moment— that their eyes met, he felt weird.
Like something strange had come over him.
Isaburo unconsciously placed a hand on his heart— which felt strange and weird. His chest felt warm, and he felt like he couldn't breathe.
'—Is this feeling?....'
But that's when he knew it.
"It's her."
He whispered in a low voice, a gentle look appearing on his usually indifferent and stoic face.
"The woman I want— to marry, is only her."
Isaburo started walking towards the counter, the gentle expression never leaving his face— and for once in his whole life, he actually smiled.
"What will you have for today, dear customer?~" (Y/N) greeted sweetly, that beautiful, captivating smile piercing Isaburo's heart like an aimed dagger.
Isaburo smiled warmly, he just knew it.
The second his eyes laid on her, his heart and mind whispered words he never thought he would ever think.
'It's her.'
"What would you recommend?"
"Ah, then—" (Y/N)'s eyes seemed to brighten up even more, as she started to recommend quite a few delicacies to him.
But Isaburo wasn't even listening.
He just— wanted to hear her voice, see her look at him, and give him her attention.
"I'll take it."
"Hm?" (Y/N) paused when he uttered those words. "Which one would you like?"
"Everything you just recommended and...." Isaburo paused, slipping his hand in the inner pocket of his kimono he flipped out his phone.
"—Your number too. I happen to need a mail-buddy."
"...Oh my," (Y/N) covered her mouth with her hand and blinked her eyes at him in astonishment.
