Thankful (Kondo Isao)

"(Y/N)!!!!"

Gintoki's loud, rage-filled voice rings aloud in the room, a look of pure anger was flashing through his eyes as he glared at every person who stood in his way.

"Just stay there, (Y/N)! Don't move, I'll get you soon. I promise to keep you safe so," Gintoki grabbed his wooden sword and pointed it at the men dressed in black standing before him.

"—So, wait for me (Y/N)!!"

"You're not taking her anywhere," Hijikata snickered, holding his cigarette between his fingers and pausing to puff out smoke—

"(Y/N)-san will be our big sis—"

"Okay! He's trying to act cool, now's my chance!!" Gintoki yells, running through the barrage of Shinsengumi members while Hijikata was speaking.

"Oi! I wasn't finished talking, damn it!!!" Hijikata threw his cigarette down angrily and grabbed his sword.

"What? You wanna go at it? Right here?" Gintoki paused and scowled at Hijikata, "I've got to save my (Y/N)!"

He pointed his wooden sword at (Y/N) who was standing at the altar.

"—Before she gets married to that gorilla!!"

"Oi! Are you calling our chief a gorilla?!"

"Yeah, I am!!" Gintoki yells back at all the shinsengumi members who formed a line as a barricade.

"Hah! Jokes on you," Hijikata smirked at Gintoki, "Kondo-san isn't just a gorilla..."

"He's a gorilla, gorilla, gorilla!!"

"Don't use the latin name!!!"

The whole church gets quiet— when Gintoki barged into the wedding of (Y/N) and Kondo Isao.

"Oh...Gin-chan," (Y/N) sighs softly, looking at her childhood friend who was wreaking havoc on the day of her wedding.

She understood why Gintoki made a ruckus though, nobody ever believed when the woman said she was in love with Kondo Isao, the Chief Gorilla of the Shinsengumi.

—Now she's getting married to him?

Tied down to a gorilla?

Having a gorilla as her life-long partner?

Have a family of gorilla?

(Y/N) didn't care about what others said— she knew more than anyone how kind and pure Kondo's heart was.

Deep down and behind that goofy attitude of his, lies a man whose heart is more righteous and pure than anyone else's.

He was a kind, gentle and caring man. He may be a gorilla and an idiot, but he was still someone who deserved love.

"(Y/N)-chan,"

(Y/N) looked at her groom, seeing tears in Kondo's eyes.

"—I-If you love the Yorozuya then it's alright."

"Pfft," (Y/N) almost broke out into laughter at Kondo who tried to put up a brave facade but actually was about to sob his heart out.

"Are you silly?" (Y/N) asked Kondo as she held his hand, "I wouldn't give you up for any man or gorilla out there,"

She smiled at him, "So why don't you tie me down?~"

"(Y/N)-chan....." Kondo felt tears spring up on his eyes, "You're such an angel!!!"

"That's our big sis!!!" The shinsengumi cheers, in their eyes (Y/N) had a halo and white wings.

"Oi," Matsudaira stood up. "If this wedding doesn't continue by the time I finish counting to 3, I'll blow you all up." He had a bazooka on his shoulder.
