Shoyo looked softly at a lone flower sprouting at the ground in their courtyard. He lifted his hands to gently reach the flower, caressing it's gentle, fragile petals with the tip of his fingers.

A small smile settled on his lips, his eyes looking warmly and softly at the said flower. "What a cute little flower, you're so bright and dazzling." Shoyo whispers lowly, and at this— only one thought came to his mind.

"....(Y/N)!"

Shoyo lightly murmurs with a small beam of hope, he stood up and looked around. Where was his little flower? His beloved angel, who could turn any dark day with just a small smile and her beautiful, bright and sparkling (E/C) eyes.

"Speaking of, where is she? I haven't seen her all day." A small frown now settles upon Shoyo's lips. His eyes having not located (Y/N), but in her stead— were the three little devils, namely Gintoki, Katsura and Takasugi.

"Have any of you seen (Y/N) this morning?" Shoyo's frown was replaced by a smile full of anticipation while the three kids looked at each other in question.

"I dunno, why would I care?"

"....Sensei, (Y/N)-sensei went to buy groceries about 30 minutes ago." Katsura spoke up and Shoyo nodded.

"....I wonder what's taking her so long..." Shoyo exhaled softly through his nose, turning his attention back to the flower— but in his mind there was only (Y/N).

Shoyo looked outside, seeing the peaceful and calming scenery he frowned slightly and placed a hand on his chest. His gaze settling on the flower.

'Why....do I have this unsettling feeling in my chest?...' Shoyo thought as he unknowingly let out a deep sigh.

".....What's wrong with sensei?" Takasugi asked worriedly, Gintoki and Katsura share a glance and shrugged together.

"Pft, don't mind him— He's just being a wimp as usual, you know because (Y/N)—" Gintoki snickered and then Shoyo turned to him and smiled.

"Gintoki—"

"AHH!" Gintoki scrambled up and ran away when he saw Shoyo lift his fist.

Shoyo sighed lightly and stood up to walk towards the door where he would await (Y/N)'s arrival. If she was gonna take any longer, then she should've asked him to tag alon with her.

Suddenly, the door opened and it revealed (Y/N) carrying various fruits in her arms along with a handsome, long-haired man standing behind her with a bunch of vegetables in his arms.

"(Y/N)!"

".....And he is?..." Shoyo's eyebrows slightly formed a crease, his eyes narrowing suspiciously at the man standing behind (Y/N).

"Oh, could he be your...." The man's eyes widened slightly and stared back at Shoyo.

"I'm her husband." Shoyo smile sweetly at the man and grabbed (Y/N), pulling her towards him in one swift motion.

"......You're married?!"

"Shoyo, cut that out! This isn't the time for jokes." (Y/N) sighed lowly as she moved away from him. "Ryo-chan, he's Shoyo— he's a teacher as well. Never mind that, come on in." She casually ivited him inside while Shoyo was left alone.

".....she didn't even greet me...." Shoyo frowned, visibly displeased by an unknown man's appearance. But, he wasn't worried— he was confident enough that he alone could protect (Y/N) from anything, his only worry was....

If he had this thing called 'Love Rival'

"Oh, Ryo-chan. You can put those down here!!" (Y/N) exclaimed, leading the man into their kitchen where they set down all her bought vegetables and fruits.
