I woke up at nine to Chi gently rubbing my leg. I squinted an eye open to see that I had a wing wrapped around me while the other was laying over the side of the bed and on the floor. I spread the wing that was over me onto the other side of the bed so I could sit up and look at him. He smiled as he said in a warm tone, "Good morning, kitten. It's time to get ready for the doctors."
I grumped about it as I sighed before I sat up and tiredly, "I'm getting there."
He leaned in towards me so he wouldn't get hit by my wings and kissed me gently. After he backed off a little, he looked me in my eyes and said in a low tone, "I love you." before kissing me again. Since this time he was holding it out longer, I brought my hand up to the side of his neck and traced the edge of his jawline. He deepened the kiss even more as he put his arm around my lower back and pulled me into him. My wings tensed up before they outstretched themselves and began to slowly fall and rest on the bed and floor. Chi broke the kiss to look at them as he laughed.
My face turned red as I asked sheepishly, "W-what?"
He continued to laugh for a little while before he calmed down and cupped my cheek as he said, only a few inches from my face, "Your wings say it all."
I shot up from the bed as I tried to hide my face. He still sat on the bed as I slightly turned towards him and stuttered, "Th-they have a m-mind of-of their own."
He chuckled as he said, "Now you know how guys feel." As I turned away from him, I deliberately hit him with my wing, making him get pushed back on the bed. He sat up as he laughed before saying, "I was kidding, hun." I turned to him over my wing and shoulder, only to give him a smug look, which induced him to laugh even more. Before I could take anything more from him, I gathered my clothes for the day and locked myself in the bathroom to get ready.
As I was getting ready, I struggled somewhat since the wings kept on getting in my way, but I somehow did it. Once I was dressed and cleaned up for the day, I opened the cupboard to find my medication that I take daily, but when I opened the bottle, I saw that I had only one more dose left. I quickly took that and exited the bathroom with the bottle in hand. Chi was sitting at his desk, facing the bathroom door as he was occupied on his phone, but put it away as soon as he saw me. He stood up as I said, "I need more medication, so let's stop at the pharmacy before we go back home."
He took the bottle out of my hand to look at it as he asked, "You're all out?"
"Obviously." I replied as I put my hands in my hoodie pocket, which was the hoodie I actually slept in since I didn't want to ruin any more clothes. He handed the bottle back to me as I asked, "You took Rin back to school, right?"
We began to leave our room as he replied, "Yes, honey."
"Good." I added quietly. We then went to the car and began for the hospital. Once we were in the parking lot, just sitting there, a smug look grew on my face as I looked at the hospital before I looked to Chi.
"What's up?" he asked in a pouty tone.
"I don't wanna go in. I hate going to the hospital." I said, sounding as if I was a stubborn little kid.
He put his hand up to my cheek and stroked it gently, "I know, kitten, I know, but you have to or else your quirks may not stop hurting you."
I looked down and grabbed his hand before saying quietly, "Let's go and get this over with."
I got out of the car with my back aching horribly, but I sucked it up as we walked in. I went to the front desk and got checked in before we waited in the waiting room. Once my name was called, Chi and I followed a nurse to a room and waited for the doctor to arrive. After waiting a few minutes, she finally walked in. She smiled as she greeted, "Good morning, how are you doing, Mrs. Masaki?" and sat down at the computer.
