Chapter 69: Full house

When I got to the car, I started it up and got the air conditioner going as I called Chi. I waited for him to pick up, which wasn't until towards the end, to which he answered in a tired and groggy tone, "What's up, babe?"

"Have you looked at the text I sent?" I asked.

He hummed tiredly, "No, I've been asleep. I can look at it now."

"It's fine, I'll just tell you it." I paused, "Midoriya called and he wants us to watch the twins, along with Tamori, if he decides that he wants to spend the night at our place. He said that he'll text me on the decision that Tamori makes."

"That sounds fine to me." he said through a yawn.

I then added, "But then Ryu has a friend who's living out of a motel on his own, and he was wondering if he could spend a few nights at our place."

He sighed as though it was too early in the morning to be making decisions. "I don't know, hun. Isn't there going to be too many people over? Our house is only so big."

"I know, so that's why I didn't give an answer; I said I needed to talk it over with you" I said as I played with my bottom lip.

As Chi was saying, "Yeah, hun, I don't know. Maybe it can wait until the twins and Tamori head back, maybe even if Tamori doesn't spend the night, then Ryu's friend can come over." my phone buzzed, telling me that I got a text.

"That's what I was thinking." I said, "So when I get back to the hospital, should I just tell him that?"

"Yeah." he said before asking, "Where are you going?"

"To pick up Himiko and Hakaido."

"That's right." he said in a tone as though he just remembered.

I sighed, "Well, I'm gonna go. I also got a text, so I'm gonna see who it's from, though I bet it's from Midoriya."

"Alright," he said as he yawned again, "be careful."

"I will, but you better get some more rest, and I'm sorry for waking you."

"It's fine, hun. You can wake me whenever you want. It was important anyway, so it doesn't matter." he said, "You're so sweet, I love you."

A little smile crept to my face, "Shut up or else the first thing I'm gonna do when I get home is kiss you."

"You can kiss me whenever you like."

I could feel my face get a little hot before I changed the subject by cutting it off, "Alright, well, I'm going now. See you when I get home."

"Alright, see you then."

"Yep, bye." I said before hanging up.

I then put on my seatbelt as I looked at the text I had received. I was correct that it was from Midoriya.

Midoriya: I talked to Tamori and he said that he was going to stay home. I thought about letting him take care of the twins, but we would prefer you to watch them. Since they don't have anything with them like clothes and such, you can head to our place and pick up some stuff. Tamori should be home to let you in. Again, thank you so very much!

I replied:

Me: It's no problem, I'm just glad to help.

I then tossed my phone to the passengers seat and began for the daycare. The traffic was starting to get a little hectic, but I guess it could have been worse. When I arrived at the daycare, I walked in and found one of the workers. Since I've been there so much, they knew who I was.
