As we walked into our room, Chi sat me down on his computer chair. I watched him walk to the corner of our bedroom and pick up Hina so he could take one of the soft blankets out of the pile that was there. He walked back to me and gently draped the blanket over my shoulders as I saw Hina leave our bedroom. Chi then crouched down in front of me and put his hands on my lap. I looked down at him as he asked, "Are you hungry?" I shook my head. "Do you want me to leave you alone?" I didn't respond since I didn't know if he should stay or not. Since I didn't say anything, he stood up and turned around towards the door.

"W-wait!" I said loudly as I leaned forward.

He stopped and turned around to say, "I'm not going anywhere, I'm just going to close the door."

"Oh." I said quietly as I leaned back in the chair.

He continued towards the door and closed it before walking back to me and sitting in front of me, on the floor. I looked down at him, staring at him, wanting to say something, but not knowing what. When he looked up at me, I knew that he could tell that I was wanting to say something, so he asked, "What's up, hun?" I pulled my feet up onto the chair and mumbled something to myself as I pulled the blanket around me more so I could cover my feet. "What was that?" he asked in a kind tone. I stood up and sat on his lap, resting my chin on his shoulder as I got the blanket wrapped around me again. "Do you just want to be held?" I nodded my head. He hummed, "That's alright."

"You..." I started before pausing for a while, "You're so nice." I whispered.

He chuckled lightly, "Well, I sure hope I am." He started to rub my back softly in a comforting way.

There was then a knock at the door. I flinched and tightened my grip around Chi as my heart began to race again now that I had finally calmed down. Chi said to me quietly, "I have to get up, kitten."

In a scared tone, I said, "N-no...don't go! It's-it's probably him again!"

He picked me up as he stood and sat me on the bed. The knocking at the door continued as he said, "Hun, he's not here anymore. It's probably just one of the kids."

He then turned around and started for the door again. "P-please, don't!"

He opened the door and said, "Hello, Rin. What's up?"

Rin then said, "I was just wondering if mom was alright."

"She'll be fine, all she needs is space." said Chi.

"What happened?" she asked.

Chi looked back at me and asked, "Do you want her to know?" I nodded my head. "Want to tell her?" I shook my head. "Want me to tell her?" I nodded my head again. "Now?" I looked down and shook my head at the same time. He turned back to Rin and said, "I'll tell you and your siblings soon enough."

"Is mom hurt?"

"Nope, she's just remembered some bad memories." said Chi.

Rin nodded her head, "I see...can I talk to mom?"

Chi glanced at me from over his shoulder, which I shook my head. He turned back to our daughter and said, "I'm afraid not, hun."

"Okay." she paused, "Well, I'll head back to my room." and walked off.

He turned around as he closed the door behind him and came over to the bed. He stood in front of me as he had a hand on his hip and asked, "Want me to hold you like before?" I nodded my head. I stood up so he could pick me up, which he then climbed on the bed and sat in the middle of it with his back leaning against the headboard. My heart was still racing and my breathing now started to quicken too.
