About a week and a few days passed before it was April. Over the course of those days, my depression had gotten so bad that I couldn't do anything, or more rather that I didn't want to do anything. I stopped doing stuff around the house, my hair had gone greesy since I hadn't taken a shower in god knows how long, I had cut myself for so many days in a row, and I had barely eaten anything in that time. Chi had tried to get me to talk, but I just couldn't. One night at around midnight, I woke up and saw that Chi was still at his computer working. I got out of bed quietly and walked over to him. After a long minute he noticed me standing next to him.

He turned in his chair to look at me and asked in a loving tone, "What's up, babe?" Without saying a word I sat on his lap and rested my head on his shoulder. He put his arms around me and asked again, "What's wrong?" I just let out a sigh, not wanting to talk. "Was that a 'I want to have fun~' sigh, or was that a 'I'm too tough to say that I need to be held' sigh?"

"The second option, you dummy." I mumbled.

He tried to look at me as he asked, "Where's your glasses?"

"It's too much work to put them on." I replied quietly.

He rubbed my shoulder with his thumb as he said, "It'll be alright. I'll hold you for as long as you need. I'll always be here for you." He then began to hum quietly. It made me feel almost sleepy, but I wanted to be awake for a little longer to take in the feeling of being held.

I closed my eyes and muttered, "I'm sorry I'm taking you away from your work."

"There's nothing to be sorry about. You know I'm always willing to pause my work and take care of you." He paused before adding, "You're way more important than my work." I sat back a little and looked at him with a skeptical look. "What?" he asked, "It's true." He kissed me before sitting back with a smile and saying, "You're so beautiful."

I rested my head on his shoulder again and said, "I'm so ugly that I make everyone go blind."

"Your hair is so soft." he said as he gently ran his fingers through my hair.

"That's a rats nest at the end of the day."

"Your eyes are so beautiful."

I closed my eyes, "That are an ugly color with one being a shade of red."

"Your skin is so soft."

I tensed up a little, "That's covered in scars."

"Your singing can cure the ill."

"It'll make them go deaf."

He sighed in defeat, "I can never win, can I?"

I opened my eyes slowly as I whispered, "I'm sorry."

He started to rock from side to side slowly in a comforting way, "Stop saying that. You have absolutely nothing to be sorry about." He paused before asking as he stopped rocking, "Want to take a shower?"

I shook my head and mumbled, "Too much work."

"How about a relaxing bath?" he suggested instead. I shook my head. "Not even if I join you?" I thought about it, but shook my head again. "Then how about we cuddle in bed." I opened my mouth to ask something, but he cut me off, "And if you're going to ask if I can take a break, I can. The project isn't due for a few more weeks and I'm already just about done, so in other words, don't worry about it at all."

I nestled my face into the crook of his neck and snaked my arms around him before he picked me up and carried me to bed. He sat down as he still held me, then situated me between his legs with my back to his chest. He pulled the blankets up to my chin and wrapped his arms around me. He kissed the side of my neck before asking softly, "Do you wanna hear a story?" I shrugged my shoulders. "Well, I guess I'll tell you anyways."
