Oh my god...I did it...it's actually finished. I have completed 300 chapters in this whole BNHA fanfic series. Sure, some spots were rough and the ending was a little sad, but look at how far this little (well, I suppose that it's not that little) series has come.
Though it is bitter sweet that this fic series is finally done and over with, I feel relieved. I can now work and concentrate more on other fics that I have started. I hope that one day you will check those out too and enjoy them like you may have enjoyed Heroes Need Saving Too, and this one, A New Chapter.
I feel like I strayed away from the main character being a hero at times, but I also wanted to focus on her being just human, you know? The same thing goes with her mental state. It's a real thing that people struggle with. I have this idea/headcanon in the BNHA universe that a lot of heroes struggle with depression and stuff like that due to the demanding career that they are in. I'm sure they too would see gruesome things that would haunt them.
Then on the other side of the spectrum of writing about mental illness, I then had a few spicy chapters. I was not at all intending to have those in there, but since the main character is an adult in this one, I sort of wanted it to show that it's just human nature. Not only did she go through lows, she also had her highs and was glad to be alive at times, which really differed from Heroes Need Saving Too.
