A couple days after the class reunion, Ryu was asked to work at the agency that he was doing an apprenticeship through. Chi stayed up all night working on a special research lab that required a lot of work, while I had to get up early in the morning to go to work at the agency. By early, I mean seven. After I got ready in my hero costume, I went to wake Ryu.

I rubbed his shoulder gently as I said, "It's time to wake up, hun."

He rolled over in an angry and tired way before mumbling, "I have an alarm on my phone. Leave me alone."

I took a step back and raised my hand a little in my defense, "Alright, just making sure." then said, "Now be careful today. Don't leave the person's side for who you're shadowing unless instructed. I'll be at my agency, so I can't come running to your aid."

He sighed before saying in the same tone as before, "I know. I've listened to all of your stories. I know not to do the same that you've seen or done; I'm not Rikka."

I put my hands in my pockets, "Okay, now be careful. I'm leaving, see you later."

"Whatever." he said as he covered his head.

I left his room and went down to the front door to put my boots on before teleporting to the agency. I then appeared at the front doors by Kohaku's desk. He looked up at me and said with a smile, "Good morning, Blank."

"Morning." I replied as I began towards my office. On my way there, I passed the Crazy Eight since they were at their desk working silently. "Good morning, Crazy Eight." They all looked at me and nodded their heads with a delighted expression. Eri was looking through a shared filing cabinet. I stopped by her and asked, "What are you looking for?"

She paused and looked over her shoulder towards me, "A file that has details about this one murder case that we dealt with back a couple months. I have a feeling that it's tied to the one that I'm working on now."

I hummed as I looked up, trying to recall the one she was talking about. I then pointed towards Kohaku as I said, "I believe that Kohaku has that one; that is if I'm thinking of the same one you're looking for."

She closed the drawer and said as she turned, "I guess he would since I've already torn apart the filing cabinet about twenty times."

She walked off as I said, "Good luck." and continued to my office.

I unlocked the door and turned on the light before walking over to my desk and pulling out the chair. I got my laptop out of my backpack and sat it on my desk, opening it and turning it on. I messed around on my phone while I was waiting for my laptop to start up. There was then a knock at my office door. I looked up and out the window to see that it was chief. I smiled as I motioned her to come in. She opened the door and walked in, closing the door behind her. She walked to my desk and dropped a letter on it.

"You've been asked to attend next month's hero con. It was a last minute decision." said the chief.

I picked up the letter and looked at it, wrinkling my nose. "Do I have to?" I asked.

She hummed, "No, but I think that it would be good for you. If you were to read the letter, it's going to be a panel about past number one heroes along with some others."

I looked at her as I kept my head down a little, "So in other words, I have to."

She sighed, "Please, I think you could benefit from it. Just do it. It's not like you attend them each year."

I laid the letter on my desk with a reluctant sigh and said, "Fine, I'll do it. Tell whoever it is that I'll attend."

She smiled, "Thank you, I'll let them know right away." and left my office in a good mood.
