Once we got home from the hospital, we both went up to our room. I changed out of jeans and into something more comfortable, which happened to be shorts. Chi sat on the bed while I changed, which I then joined him as I unlocked my phone. "What'cha doing, hun?" he asked.
"I figured that I should call Aizawa and let him know what the doctor said. I know that both of them have a free hour right now." I looked at the time on my phone before muttering, "Well, at least for a few more minutes."
"Alright, then in the meantime would you like me to make something for lunch?" he asked just before I hit call on my phone.
I sighed as I thought about it quickly. "I'm not hungry...but I suppose that you can go ask Rei if he wants anything."
He stood up, "Okay, if I'm not back, I'm in the kitchen." I just nodded my head.
As he left the room, I called Aizawa. After a few rings he finally picked up. "Hello?" he answered in a tired tone, obviously just waking up from a nap.
I tried to sound happy as I said, "Hey, it's me." I paused to sigh, "Yeah, the doctor said I should be alright."
He was relieved to hear me say that. "That's good news."
"But my medication is what caused the malfunctions. I was having a reaction to it along with a lot of other people." I paused again before adding in a low tone, "I can no longer take the medicine anymore. They even gave me a shot to combat what I took this morning, which was the last dose I had."
"Are you going to go back to what you were previously taking?" he asked.
I began to rub my forehead. "I don't know." I muttered, "I don't want to take something that won't even work, takes a toll on my stomach, and gives me side effects."
He hummed as if he was thinking of something before letting out a sigh and saying, "It will be hard, but you know how to tough through it. You've got this. Don't let it get you down. Start this off on the right foot and you should have no problem."
I rested my hand on my lap that was rubbing my forehead and said, "Yeah, I should just stop thinking about it or else I'll end up overthinking things again."
"That would be for the best." he agreed.
I sighed again, "Well, I better be going. Chi's off in the kitchen making something to eat I guess, so I better see what he's making. Hopefully if I help him, it'll take my mind off of things."
"Right."
"Well then, talk to you later." I said under my breath.
"Yeah, and I'll text you later to check up on you once schools over."
I nodded my head as though he could see, "Alright, and be sure to tell Yamada what I said."
"I will."
"Okay then, later."
"Yep, bye." he said before we hung up.
I stood up and placed my phone on my nightstand before I left the bedroom. Just as I was going to go down stairs, Chi just walked out of Rei's room. I turned around and asked, "Did he want anything?"
"Yeah, I already made him a sandwich. It's a good thing I asked since he's already hard at work and probably wouldn't have had time to make himself something." he replied.
I walked towards him as I said, "That's good, now I just hope that he eats it."
"Oh I'm sure he will." he replied as he put his arms around me, trying not to touch my wings.
I felt like I could no longer hold it in. I bursted out in tears as I buried my face in his chest. My wings fell limp to the floor. I started to notice that they were pretty good at conveying my emotions, which was almost better than what my own expressions could do. He rubbed my shoulders comfortingly in an attempt to help.
