I woke up the next morning at eight, dreading the day sort of. I put my glasses on to see that Chi was already at his computer, hard at work. I got out of bed and gathered up my hero costume before going into the bathroom to get ready. I had to change my bandages again on my left arm since it still would bleed, which made sense for how deep the cuts were. After I got ready, I left the bathroom, stopping by Chi since I had a little more time.
"What's up, babe?" he asked, sounding busy as ever.
"Just wanted to let you know that I'm sorry I caused you to be behind schedule."
He stopped typing and turned towards me, "You'll never cause me to be behind schedule."
"I already have." I said in a disappointed tone.
He took my hand, "No you haven't, and I can argue with you about that forever." He pulled me towards him and kissed me. "Stop being hard on yourself. I know you've been hearing that since you were young, but it's true." He let go of me as he gave a smile.
"I don't deserve you." I mumbled.
"I don't deserve you either, yet here we are." he chuckled.
I gave a sideways smile before saying, "Well, I better be going. I have to go to the agency then to Bakugo's. I'm honestly not sure how this will all go, but I hope it goes well."
"I'm sure it will. Over the years he's learned not to mess with you, so I think you'll be able to get through to him." he said, trying to be positive.
I sighed, "You're right." then paused, "Well then, I'm off. See ya."
"Yeah, see you when you get back." he said before turning to his work.
I left the bedroom and went down to the front door to put on my boots. I then teleported to the agency, appearing at the front doors like I always do, and began to walk in.
"Good morning, Blank." Kohaku greeted me from the front desk. Since he rarely wore his hero costume, we never really called him by his hero name.
"Good morning, Kohaku." I said before a yawn and stopping by his desk.
He smirked, "So, how long are you going to stick around today? You didn't stay for long the other day."
I glared at him for a few seconds before softening up and saying, "I'll be around until about eleven or so."
"Oh wow, even longer than last time."
I waved my fist at him, "You're lucky we aren't permitted to use our quirks beyond the front door."
"Yes, I am lucky, aren't I?" he said with a smile.
"Whatever, I'm going to my office." I said just as I began to walk away.
He then stopped me, "Oh, yesterday morning we had received a letter that's addressed from Ground Zero, to you."
I grumbled about it as I said, "I think I know what it's already about."
"Well, good luck with whatever it may be."
I sighed, "Thanks, I need it." before walking to my office.
Just as I passed Eri's desk, she said, "Oh, hey, Blank, I was wondering if you could help me for a quick second."
I turned and began walking towards her, "Sure, what's up?"
"You know that case you helped me with that's pretty much a quirk tranquilizer?" she asked.
I nodded my head, "Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, I finally got a sample on Friday and sent it to the lab right away. Not that long ago I just got the results back." she said. I walked closer to her, interested as to what she was to say next. "The only thing is, I don't quite understand the chemical makeup of it. I was wondering if you could have a look at it and see what you could come up with?" she picked up a piece of paper and handed it to me, "Here, I made a copy of the drug's structure. When you figure something out, please tell me."
